New way of eating at hawker centre. 可以吗?

The frequent heavy downpours in S'pore make the morning rush hour commute to work and school a harrowing experience without a car. That is why our quality of life is far better if we are able to afford a car. That is a fact - not the view of only the privileged.

I have seen an old man spit his phlegm into his empty cup of coffee after his meal. As dishwashers merely go through the motions, that phlegm would have spread among the washed crockery and cutlery during washing.

ACS boy come in here talk rubbish again  How come he has so much rubbish in his system?
@Tree, your total obsession with me is unhealthy. Not a day goes by without you yearning for my attention. Do you lower your pants and jerk off while you are thinking of me and typing out your posts begging for my attention???

He has been entrusted with a role within this forum: to remind fellow members of what they lack. In doing so, he awakens desire for that which is absent. When desire finds fulfillment, one is absorbed into the system; when it does not, resentment takes root, and resentment, over time, crystallizes into envy. The more one becomes emotionally entangled in the act of contesting his wisdom, the more envy is quietly generated in the process. In that state, one becomes his food source.:biggrin::biggrin:

And he is here to harvest envy—for envy is his food.:thumbsup:

He is not speaking nonsense. There is truth in what he says, though it all ultimately converges on a single axis: affordability. If I could afford it, I would not be flying Scoot and enduring hours stranded at the airport before departure. If I could afford it, I would not be confined to economy class for long journeys, compressed into 33-inch legroom. If I could truly afford it, I would transcend all of this and fly on my own private jet.:speechless:

His observations cut cleanly into the conscience, while passing bluntly over the contours of pride. All it takes to temper the emotional currents of an anonymous forum is honesty.:geek:

In a materialistic society like S'pore, people desire possessions like a private home and car. Scarce goods are extremely expensive, but if one is able to afford them, they get trapped in consumerism i.e. absorbed into the system. If they cannot afford that condo and car, they harbour resentment at those who can. Over time, the bitterness from haters turn into pure envy. The more envious they become, the more they allow the private home and car owners to live 'rent-free' in their heads.

All of us would rather live in a spacious and comfortable private condo or house than a HDB flat. All of us would rather drive a car than put up with overcrowded and less than reliable public transport in our hot and humid weather with frequent heavy downpours. Our quality of life would be so much better with a private residence and car. It is extremely difficult to put a price on comfort, convenience and safety.
