There is truth in what he says, though it all ultimately converges on a single axis: affordability. If I could afford it, I would not be flying Scoot and enduring hours stranded at the airport before departure. If I could afford it, I would not be confined to economy class for long journeys, compressed into 33-inch legroom. If I could truly afford it, I would transcend all of this and fly on my own private jet. His observations cut cleanly into the conscience, while passing bluntly over the contours of pride. All it takes to temper the emotional currents of an anonymous forum is honesty.
