What a load of crap! If Russia had such a weapon, it would have long ago flattened the USA. Instead, it has to endure daily humiliation from NATO enroaching onto its sphere of influence and watch its mercs get slaughtered by Yankee missiles.

Putin is way too kind and too civilized for the good of entire world. Should had nuked USA 10 years ago. And for the each and every day since 10 years ago he let Americans lived and wasted resources of the planet earth. KNN! Wasted lah. Nuke ASAP Pse!

Yes and the USA will retaliate and the world will end...no one left...so no need to lay blame etc..cause there will be no one left

Nuclear holocaust as prophecised in the Quran:

In Surah Al-Dukhan (The Smoke), the Quran describes a lethal cloud which comprises a deadly radiant smoke:

Arabic_Page618_1.gif

Then watch for the day when the sky will bring forth a manifest smoke,
That will cast a shadow upon people. This will be a painful suffering. 2

The nature of this cloud is further qualified by the following verses:

Arabic_Page618_2.gif

'Now move towards what you have been denying,

'Move on towards a three-pronged shadow,

'Neither affording shade, nor protecting from the blaze.'

It throws up flames like huge castles,

As though the castles were dusky yellow camels.

Russia has unveiled a whole batch of cutting-edge weapons, warning potential adversaries against any hostile actions and promising a swift response. RT highlights the capabilities and specifications of the new munitions.
The impressive new weaponry was unveiled by Russian President Vladimir Putin earlier this week during his annual speech before the Federation Council. The majority of the new military toys looked like they came straight from a science fiction book. RT looks into the capabilities of the unveiled weaponry and feasibility of the technologies they utilize.

New-generation Sarmat ICBM
The newest Russian liquid-propelled intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM), RS-28 Sarmat (NATO reporting name – SS-X-30 Satan-2) is in the “active testing” phase, Putin said. It has been developed to replace the reliable yet aging Soviet-era strategic nuclear missile R-36M2 Voevoda (SS-18 Satan). The key components of the new complex have been tested over the past few years.

Capable of carrying different types of nuclear warheads, the Sarmat system has virtually no range limit and will be able to deliver its payload anywhere on the planet, across either the South or the North Pole.

The video released by the Defense Ministry shows the new missiles in transport containers, as well as a launch of the device from an underground silo. The test missile features a bright checkered coating, which facilitates measuring the speed of the projectile.

The first pre-production batch of Sarmat missiles is expected to make it to the Russian strategic stockpile in the nearest future, according to the Russian Federation Council Defense Committee head, Viktor Bondarev. The full-scale production of the new missiles will be launched within a year or two. The missiles will fit into existing underground silos with minimal adjustments, Chief of the Russian Strategic Missile Forces Sergey Karakayev said.

High-precision hypersonic missile systems
Another new weapon unveiled is an air-launched hypersonic missile dubbed the Kinzhal (Russian for ‘dagger’). The missile is already undergoing tests in the military, according to Putin. The device is launched from high-altitude aircraft, such as the MiG-31, and has an effective range of 2,000km. The missile is able to travel 10 times faster than the speed of sound, is highly maneuverable and can reliably penetrate all the existing and even perspective air-defense systems. The Kinzhal can be fitted with nuclear and conventional warheads.

Another Russian hypersonic novelty is the Avangard missile complex. While little detail was revealed about the device, it appears to be a sort of boost-glide payload delivery system to be fitted in upper stages of strategic ballistic missiles. The Avangard has already been tested and entered serial production, according to Putin.

“I assure you, all this exists and works well,” the Russian president said. “This system is different from the existing munitions with its ability to perform intercontinental-range flights in dense layers of the atmosphere at hypersonic speeds.”

While the idea of a boost-glide system is not new, few projects have reached even the prototype stage due to their inability to withstand extremely high temperatures for prolonged time. It appears that Russian scientists managed to create the necessary materials, as the new device is capable of maneuvering at hypersonic speeds and evading anti-aircraft defenses.

“Use of modern composite materials allowed to solve the issue of controlled flight of the winged gliding block almost in plasma formation conditions. It goes to the target as a meteor, as a fire ball. The temperatures on the device’s surface reach 1,600-2,000 degrees Celsius. The winged block can be reliably controlled at the same time,” Putin said.

Combat lasers?
Little is known about a “combat laser system,” also unveiled by the Russian president. The system is a truck-mounted complex with a cannon-like device, which presumably is the laser in question.

“It’s not a theory or a project, and not even a launch of production. Since last year, the army is already receiving combat laser complexes,” Putin stated. “The specialists will understand that availability of such systems expands Russia’s ability to ensure its security many times over.”

The exact purpose of the system, however, remains a mystery. The Soviet Union used to have several prototype ground vehicles designed to “blind” optical-electronic equipment of the enemy vehicles with a laser beam. It's debatable whether their jammer-like nature warrants the name “combat lasers.” The Soviet Union also had projects for anti-missile and anti-satellite laser weaponry, aerial and even orbital combat lasers. None of them came to fruition at the time.

The US has also designed a number of laser prototypes, including anti-missile and anti-drone laser systems. The only US laser device to see real action is a Humvee-mounted ZEUS-HLONS vehicle, used to destroy unexploded munitions and IEDs in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Cruise missile of unlimited range
This new missile was successfully tested for the very first time late last year and does not have a name yet. The missile has “unlimited range and unlimited ability to maneuver” to penetrate any existing anti-missile defenses. Apart from that, the successful test of the device opens the prospects for an entirely new type of weaponry – nuclear-powered strategic missiles.

“The launch and the set of ground tests allow to get to creating a radically new type of weaponry – a strategic nuclear weaponry complex with a missile fitted with a nuclear powered engine,” Putin said.

The idea to fit aircraft with nuclear-powered engines dates back to the early years of the atomic energy age. Both the US and the Soviet Union explored the possibility of building nuclear-powered bombers and fighters, yet lack of technology to build miniature reactors, issues with cooling and shielding crews from radiation, as well as rapid development of missiles, did not allow the projects to leave early testing stages in both countries.

Nuclear-powered drone submarine
This device is capable of traveling intercontinental distances, while emitting little noise, and can carry nuclear and conventional munitions, according to the Russian president. The drone submarines are also very fast and maneuverable, unmatched by any existing crewed subs, torpedoes and anti-torpedo munitions.

The drone sub boasts a unique miniature nuclear-powered engine, quite powerful for its size. The device successfully emerged from years of tests in December 2017, Putin said.

The idea to create an intercontinental nuclear-powered underwater drone has been floating in the minds of Russian (and before that Soviet) scientists since the 1950s. Back in the day, the devices were considered a type of torpedo.

No miniature nuclear reactors were available back then, and the most powerful capacitors allowed such torpedoes to have a range of only some 30km – nowhere near an intercontinental scale. Short-range, chemical-propelled nuclear T-5 torpedoes, however, were successfully tested by the Soviet Union at least twice in the 1950s, and were adopted by the military and remained in service for some time.

New Russian missiles: The West makes Putin sick
Russia » Politics
In response to the proposal from Vladimir Putin to help the Defense Ministry come up with a name for latest arms systems, which the Russian President presented during the announcement of his Address to the Federal Assembly, the Russians started to make their offers.

Two new types of Russian strategic weapons remain nameless for the time being: a global range cruise missile with a nuclear power plant and a nuclear-capable unmanned underwater vehicle. In addition, one needs to coin the name for he new laser weapons as well.

"For those who are interested in military equipment, I would like to propose, I would ask them to propose the names for this new hardware," the Russian president said, introducing the new weapons of the Russian Federation, noting that one can submit their options on the websites of the Defense Ministry.

The majority of Russian bloggers started thinking of a name for the new nuclear cruise missile. The most popular version is "Pesets" which literally translates into English as "Arctic fox," although the Russian word designating the polar animal alludes to a swear word of similar pronunciation, but of completely different meaning which one may interpret as "the end of it all" or "holy cow" exclamation.

Other popular variations for the new missile are as follows: "Surprise," "Present," "Gagarin," "God's hand," and many others. Others simply offered to name the new missile "Putin" or "Vladimir."

Some others, however, found the presentation of the new weapons during the annual Address to the Federal Assembly a very sad event of the day. Putin spoke a little about poverty in Russia and a lot about war. "It's very sad, it tears me apart, there's only war and nothing else in Putin's lavish heart," a blogger tweeted.

Putin's major announcements have already started generating plenty of jokes. Here are a few of them:

"Monday. Argentina finds half a ton of cocaine, Wednesday. Lavrov says that the Yankees are working on a nuclear strike on Russia. Thursday. Putin invents a nuclear-powered missile. I wonder if we all live till the weekend." @Michael65491159

"What have you been up to all these 18 years?"

"I've been building a nuclear missile with an unpredictable trajectory." @igorzhe

"Did we laugh at Kim Jong-il when he was showing one missile after another?" @Sava_Ivanson

"The man got cold once and here it is, we got world's most powerful weapons. Maybe he has to go out bareheaded more often? We would then defeat corruption, poverty, etc." @M_Simonyan

"Putin said that the new missile already exists, but victory over poverty, cheap mortgage, good roads, high-quality healthcare - all this is yet to come. Can't he do the opposite?" @prof_preobr

"His talking about the missiles was for electors, rather than for the West. Don't you think they will launch these missiles to places where their children live? @Sergus_Magnus

In the meantime, scientists believe that the weapons that Putin announced during his speech on March 1 can not exist in nature. The head of the Institute for Space Policy Ivan Moiseyev said that installing nuclear engines on cruise missiles was impossible.

"Such things are impossible. One cannot equip a cruise missile with a nuclear engine. There are no such engines. There is one engine that is being developed now, but it's a space engine. And of course, there were no trials held for those weapons in 2017, one may only wish such engines would be tested in 2027," the scientist said, The Insider reports.

The battle between a male tiger and a female sloth bear in India’s Maharashtra was captured on film. The violent footage makes for tense viewing.
The epic fight happened at Tadoba National Park in Maharashtra on Wednesday. The video was shared by the Bamboo Forest Safari Lodge in Tadoba and filmed by naturalist Akshay Kumar.

The video shows the tiger spotting the bear and pursuing it through the trees. The bear and tiger then face each other and start to fight as one of the bear’s cubs looks on.

The two roll around in the bush as they struggle. The tiger appears to be getting the better of the bear, catching her with his paws and biting at her body. The pair then break apart and go head to head, before wrestling on the ground and biting one another’s heads.

The tiger again seems to have overpowered the bear, and digs his teeth into the animal’s neck as she struggles to break free. Eventually, she does and chases the tiger away. The pair clash again, each baring their teeth, before the tiger runs into the water to escape the ferocious bear.

”Finally he gives up and the sloth bear disappears,” the video says. “T54 [the tiger] comes back to the waterhole totally exhausted and tired.”

Kumar told NDTV the tiger is a seven-year-old called Matkasur, who had marked the water as his territory.

Viewers may have been too distracted by splashy infographics and animated warheads to notice a naming contest that Russian President Vladimir Putin had announced for his new advanced nuclear weapons.

The online competition to name an unlimited-range nuclear-powered cruise missile, a nuclear-propelled underwater drone and a combat laser weapon was launched after Putin delivered his two-hour speech on Thursday.

“Those interested in military equipment are welcome to suggest a name for this new weaponry,” Putin said in his annual address to the Federal Assembly.

Loyal fans sprang into action, with suggestions on the Russian Defense Ministry’s Facebook page ranging from the patriotic “Palmyra,” “Slavyanka,” and “Kremlin’s Hand” to the ironic “Peace Envoy,” “Boomerang,” “She Drowned” and “Goodbye America.”

The editor in chief of the pro-Kremlin RT news network Margarita Simonyan was among the first high-profile figures to suggest naming the cruise missile “Volodya,” a shorthand for “Vladimir,” in honor of Putin.

“It’s both Russian, polite, with humor and with a hint,” she tweeted.

Long-time presidential aide and one-time gray cardinal of the Kremlin Vladislav Surkov offered to name the missile after an assassinated pro-Russian guerrilla commander in eastern Ukraine.

Foreigners had their own suggestions, many of them offering names reminiscent of the British research vessel that voters overwhelmingly chose to name “Boaty McBoatface” in 2016.

The ministry said that it had received 63,000 name suggestions on its website in the first 17 hours after the competition was announced, the RBC business portal reported on Friday.
