Comrade Putin just announced new nuclear powered missiles that has unlimited range and submarine launched missile systems that is AI controlled.

Missiles with unlimited range, self targeting, works at 2000 degree centigrade and with speed of MACH 20. End of USA.

Just wish that Comrade Putin will share these with motherland China as well.

So happy that our friend Russia is so successful.

Basically it is a giant torpedo loaded w largest nuke 2X capacity of Tsar Bomba. Powered by a mini nuclear power reactor inside meaning it has UNLIMITED RANGE, fast speed 100 knots , can go around whole globe few times still have power. Sonar in front to avoid collisions, navigation by optical gyro inertia guidance.

Sailing 50m to 150m depth.

Piak USA at coastal cities.

As for the other system Putin mentioned. It is an extra-heavy cruise missile, I estimate 30~40 tons, because the jet fuel for global flight, and big nuke warhead. Because it is not a drone plane, not using runway, and not with huge aircraft wings, only have folded wing that sweeps out after launched to a reasonable altitude - it need a first stage solid fuel rocket, and booster also if launching from enclosed ship compartment or TEL truck that won't withstand it's huge flames - booster for Cooler Initial Launching, only fire main rocket after it is @ e.g. 30m height. Main rocket would take it to altitude of few km height and the main rocket will separate and drop off, and the folded wings (suitable only for flying this altitude) will deploy, and turbo jet engine (same as old fighter jets) will take over for it's long distance strike. It is from here on just a huge fuel capacity cruise missile (sub-sonic speed) if launched from Moscow will take 10~12hrs approx much like a normal airliner. When closer to USA it will lower it altitude to avoid radar detection but that means low speed and higher fuel consumption rate. As a long range design, it might be multiple fuel tanks (jet fuel) and discard empty tanks on the way to reduce weight & size, this is unlike the usual cruise missile with has just a single tank for 3000km.

Technology level to make this is not very high, even NK Kim Jong Nuke should easily be able to make this.

20 OMG Facts About Russia

Posted on March 1, 2018 by tim

Today Vladimir Putin announced a few newest weapons and some of them look like they are straight out of Sci-Fi movie. How about a cruise missile with a nuclear engine that can go around in circles above the Earth surface and avoid all anti-missile systems? This would be this first one, and here is the video:

1. You can hear Vladimir commenting on the background “This is how it avoids the anti-missile defense”. They claim that this new cruise missile has a nuclear (sic!) engine and can stay unlimited time in the airspace, also quote: “can maneuver unlimitely long time”. As you can see in the end of the video its approaches the continent of the North America from some unexpected angle (from the South).

2. Now the second thing – unmanned underwater robots that can carry charges to wherever needed. They also said to have nuclear engines. Take a look at the video:

By the way you can hear Vladimir coughing or gulping on the background when watching the video. On the last scene it seems that those unmanned drones deliver their bomb again to the North American continent, now to its Northern part.

3. Next one is a supersonic missile delivery system that can quote “deliver missiles to the needed point in just a matter of the seconds”. Here is a video demonstration:

They say that it can reach the speeds of 20 mach (which is truly unbelievable and exceeds third space speed that is enough for a rocket to leave the Solar system). Again the video was shown in full silence of the audience.

4. Now the huge, actually the biggest at the moment ballistic missile “Sarmat” which weighs roughly 200 tons and again claimed to be invincible for the modern anti-aircraft and anti-missile systems.

On the video presentation it can be seen how it can circle around the Earth and again come to the other continents from a surprisingly weird angles.

5. And the last but not least are the laser canons that are according to Vladimir are being shipped to the army since the last year already. Here is a short video:

Russia has developed a number of advanced weapons systems, including a nuclear-powered cruise missile, which make all US capabilities aimed at undermining the Russian nuclear deterrent obsolete, President Vladimir Putin announced.
The latest advances in Russian strategic deterrence have made America’s anti-missile systems obsolete, so Washington should stop trying to diminish Russia’s security and start talking to Moscow as an equal partner, not the dominant military power it seeks to be, Putin said.

US ABM shield in Europe may lead to sudden nuclear attack on Russia, Moscow says
The Russian leader made the comments during his state of the nation address on Wednesday. While the first part of the address was a straightforward description of domestic goals and achievements, the second became a defiant challenge to the US. Putin announced that Russia has successfully developed several new weapons systems, which basically negate American anti-ballistic missile capabilities.

The Russian president accused the US of arrogance, saying that it thought that Russia would not be able to recover anytime soon after the collapse of the Soviet Union and that its interests can simply be ignored. One particular move – the withdrawal by George W Bush from the Anti-ballistic Missile Treaty (ABM) in 2002 – resulted in Russia being increasingly surrounded by American assets, which undermined the country’s nuclear deterrence.

“In the end, if we did nothing, this would render the Russian nuclear potential worthless,” Putin said. “They could simply intercept all of it.”

Without a nuclear deterrent, Russia would be exposed to US military pressure and would not be able to pursue a sovereign policy, Putin said. The president warned as early as in 2004 that Russia would not sit idle and that it would respond to this threat by developing new weapons systems.

Russia's new 'big stick'
Russia has now done this, according to Putin, who went on to present a number of new systems, some of which don’t yet have names, and which are all meant to counter current and future ABM systems. His speech was accompanied by a series of video clips showing those new systems, partially as footage of tests and partially as computer-generated images showing their capabilities.

One system is the new Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) called Sarmat, or RS-28. It’s already well-known, but Putin stressed that its increased range allows the missile to reach US territory from Russia via a South Pole route. The US has dozens of interceptor missiles deployed in Alaska on the presumption that Russia’s ICBMs would approach from that direction, which would not be the case with Sarmat.

In fact, the Soviet Union had a missile that could approach the US from any direction. It was not a regular ballistic missile but rather one that put the warhead into low-earth orbit. The warhead would then deorbit when close to its target, thanks to its own engines. However, the R-36orb missiles were scrapped as part of nuclear reduction process.

Putin then went on to weapons systems that were not previously known to the public. One is a yet-to-be-named cruise missile with an almost unlimited range.

This is achieved thanks to a highly-efficient on-board miniaturized nuclear reactor, which powers the flight. Such a missile can fly low enough to avoid early detection, can change course to avoid enemy anti-missile assets along its path, and maneuver to pierce the anti-missile systems protecting its target.

Zoom to Mars in 6 weeks with new Russian nuclear-fission engine
According to Putin, Russia successfully tested a nuclear-propelled cruise missile at the end of 2017. It is now developing a new class of strategic weapons, he added.

The idea of a nuclear-powered projectile is hardly new. The US tried to develop one as part of Project Pluto in the early 1960s, but abandoned it since strategic missiles with chemical propellants proved to be a more viable alternative. Russia has reportedly made a breakthrough in this technology, becoming the first nation to bring it to maturity.

Putin also said that miniaturization of a nuclear reactor gave Russia another advanced weapons system in the form of a high-endurance underwater drone. The drone can dive “really very deep” and travel between continents at a speed that is several times higher than that of a submarine, a modern torpedo or even a surface ship, he said.

According to the president, such drones can attack enemy aircraft carrier groups, shoreline defenses or infrastructure, and cannot be countered by any defense system in the world. Both conventional and nuclear-tipped versions can be made, he said.

Russia reportedly tests nuclear-capable hypersonic glider warhead
In December 2017, Russia completed the trials of a nuclear reactor which gives the drones such capabilities. The reactor is “100 times smaller” than those used by nuclear-propelled submarines and generates more power, Putin said. It can also reach its peak power 200 times faster than a conventional nuclear power plant.

The video shown for this weapon system didn’t include any actual test, but presumably the claimed miniaturization of a nuclear reactor, which was used for the cruise missile, can also work for a watercraft.

Putin then showcased two variants of a hypersonic weapons systems already developed by Russia. One is an air-launched vehicle that is already deployed in southern Russia for test combat duty. The projectile travels at a speed of Mach-10 and has a range of 2,000km (1,240 miles). The weapon, which is called Kinzhal (“dagger” in Russian) is available in conventional and nuclear forms, Putin said. A video shown to the audience included the moment the weapon was deployed by a fighter jet and the fire from its engine.

Another weapon that is being developed, but which was not shown being tested because its appearance is classified, according to Putin, is a hypersonic glider warhead deployed from space. Russia first tested one back in 2004 and has made significant progress since, the president said. The glider can fly in the atmosphere at speeds of over Mach-20 and can withstand a heat of up to 2,000C (3,632F) generated by air fiction. The system is in series production and is called Avangard (“advance guard” in Russian).

The last weapon system showcased by Putin during his speech was a combat laser, which he said Russia had started to deploy last year. A small video clip showed what presumably is an anti-aircraft laser system, but no test footage was shown.

'Speaking softly': Russia wants negotiations, not confrontation
Putin stressed that Russia would not need all these new weapons if its legitimate concerns had not been ignored by the US and its allies. “Nobody wanted to talk with us on the core of the problem. Nobody listened to us. Now you listen!” he said.

He suggested that the US abandon its costly and inefficient hostile plans towards Russia and start negotiating a security arrangement which would take Moscow’s interests into account.

“To those who for the last 15 years have been trying to fan an arms race, achieve unilateral advantage against Russia, impose sanctions, which are illegal from the standpoint of international law and are aimed at holding back the development of our country, including in the military area, I have this to say: All the things you were trying to prevent through your policies have already happened. You have failed to hold Russia back,” Putin said.

“You now have to acknowledge this reality, confirm that everything I said is no bluff – which it isn’t – think for some time, send into retirement the people stuck in the past and incapable of looking into the future, [and] stop rocking the boat that we all ride in and which is called planet Earth,” he said. Russia would be responsive if talked to as an equal partner, Putin added.

Putin is bragging about being able to beat US missile defences -- and he's absolutely correct

Alex Lockie
Business Insider1March,2018

  • Russian President Vladimir Putin bragged during a speech to his country's elites on Thursday about a wide range of new nuclear-capable missiles that he said can beat the US's missile defences.

  • Putin is correct - the US does not have sufficient ballistic missile defences to stop a Russian attack, nor has it for decades.

  • Instead of worrying about defence, the US just builds its own nuclear missiles, which Russia also can't stop.
Russian President Vladimir Putin bragged during a speech to his country's elites on Thursday about a wide range of new nuclear-capable missiles that he said can beat the US's missile defences - and he's absolutely right about that.

The US does have systems in place to defend against ballistic missile attacks, but has never deployed a system designed to protect the entire US homeland. The Ground-based Midcourse Defence system, with components in California and Alaska, is the closest thing the US has to continental missile defence, but there's no way it could stand up to a Russian attack.

The system, which has a poor track record andcosts billions, relies on hit-to-kill technology, or anti-missiles that the US would fire to slam into incoming nuclear missiles, stopping them in their tracks. It's extremely difficult to hit a ballistic missile in flight, as they travel at over a dozen times the speed of sound.

The US has succeeded a few times at hitting a mock-up of a ballistic missile, but it's still a crap shoot that only makes sense against a limited adversary like North Korea. The GMD has 44 missile interceptors as of 2017. Russia has 1,700 deployed nuclear missiles.

Additionally, some of the systems described by Putin on Thursday weren't even ballistic missiles, but underwater torpedoes and cruise missiles, which the US doesn't actively do much to defend against.

But the lack of US missile defence against Russia isn't a mistake. The US tried in the 1980s to create a space-based ballistic missile defence system called "Star Wars." The effort failed in a practical sense, functioning as a giant money pit that achieved virtually nothing.

But in a political sense, the US making public its attempts to nullify Russia's nuclear arsenal succeeded. Work on Star Wars played a non-negligible role in getting concessions out of the Soviets during arms control talks in the 1980s.

Why doesn't the US even try to block Russia's nukes?
The US and Russia have built nuclear weapons and aimed them at each other since the 1960s, and neither side really has a way of stopping an attack from the other side. Instead, they rely on a doctrine called "mutually assured deterrence."

Basically, if Russia attacked the US with nuclear missiles, US nuclear missiles would attack right back. The US has early warning satellites watching Russia from space, so if Putin did fire his unstoppable missiles, before they even landed, the US would probably have their own missiles flying back at Moscow.

So on Thursday, when Putin told Russia's elites that he had built missiles that the US could never stop, he was telling the truth.

But what he didn't mention is that Russia has been able to nuke the US for decades, and that if Putin went through with it, it would likely be one of the last things he ever did.

President Vladimir V. Putin offered Russians a rosy picture of future prosperity and military might in his annual speech, delivered on Thursday in Moscow. Credit Maxim Shipenkov/European Pressphoto Agency
MOSCOW — President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia threatened the West with a new generation of nuclear weapons Thursday, including what he described as an “invincible” intercontinental cruise missile and a nuclear torpedo that could outsmart all American defenses.

The presentation by Mr. Putin, which included animation videos depicting multiple warheads aimed at Florida, where President Trump often stays at his Mar-a-Lago resort, sharply escalated the military invective in the tense relationship between the United States and Russia, which has led to predictions of a costly new nuclear arms race.

While Mr. Putin may have been bluffing about these weapons, as some experts suggested, he cleverly focused on a vulnerability of American-designed defenses: They are based on the assumption that enemy nuclear missiles fly high and can be destroyed well before they reach their targets.

The new class of Russian weapons, he said, travel low, stealthily, far and fast — too fast for defenders to react.

Mr. Putin’s announcement, in his annual state of the nation address, seemed intended chiefly to stir the patriotic passions of Russians at a moment when he is heading into a re-election campaign, even though his victory is assured in what amounts to a one-candidate race.

He also used the speech to reassure Russians that the military buildup was taking place even as the government was spending big sums to improve the quality of their lives.

But the main attention grabber in the speech was the weapons, which Mr. Putin described as a response to what he called the repudiation of arms control by the United States and its plans for a major weapons buildup.

The Trump administration has said that countering the world’s two other superpowers, Russia and China, was becoming its No. 1 national security mission, ahead of counterterrorism.

It has largely blamed Russia’s military modernization for that shift and has justified new work on nuclear weapons and bolstered missile defenses as the appropriate answer.

Mr. Putin may have further fueled the tension on Thursday by essentially declaring that Russia’s military brains had made America’s response obsolete.

He said a team of young, high-tech specialists had labored secretly and assiduously to develop and test the new weapons, including a nuclear-powered missile that could reach anywhere and evade interception.

“With the missile launched and a set of ground tests completed, we can now proceed with the construction of a fundamentally new type of weapon,” Mr. Putin said.

He showed a video that illustrated the weapon flying over a mountain range, then slaloming around obstacles in the southern Atlantic before rounding Cape Horn at the tip of South America and heading north toward the West Coast of the United States.

Given that deception lies at the heart of current Russian military doctrine, questions arose about whether these weapons existed. American officials said that the nuclear cruise missile is not yet operational, despite Mr. Putin’s claims, and that it had crashed during testing in the Arctic.

The threats evoked the bombast of the Cold War. But this time they are not based on greater numbers of bombs but increased capabilities, stealth and guile.

Mr. Putin’s boasts about undersea nuclear torpedoes and earth-hugging cruise missiles emphasized the uselessness of American defenses against such weapons.

Oddly, apart from a reference to renewing the American nuclear arms enterprise in his State of the Union address, Mr. Trump has said almost nothing about the new era of competition with Mr. Putin or Russia. With multiple investigations into whether his campaign’s connections to Russians had influenced policy, he has neither protested the Russian buildup nor publicly endorsed, in any detail, his own administration’s plans to counter it.

The cruise missile was among five weapons introduced by Mr. Putin, each shown in video mock-ups on giant screens flanking him onstage. He threatened to use the weapons, as well as Russia’s older-generation nuclear arms, against the United States and Europe if Russia were attacked.

“We would consider any use of nuclear weapons against Russia or its allies to be a nuclear attack on our country,” he said.

Mr. Putin said he could not show the actual weapons publicly, but assured his audience of Russia’s main political and prominent cultural figures that they had all been developed.

If Mr. Putin was not bluffing, said Aleksandr M. Golts, an independent Russian military analyst, then “these weapons are definitely new, absolutely new.”

“If we’re talking about nuclear-armed cruise missiles, that’s a technological breakthrough and a gigantic achievement,” he said in an interview. But, he added, “The question is, is this true?”

Several analysts writing on Facebook and elsewhere leaned toward the bluff theory. Given the recent history of Russian launch failures or premature crashes, the idea that Russia suddenly possessed a new generation of flying weapons strained credulity.

“The real surprise in among all of this is a nuclear-powered cruise missile,” said Douglas Barrie, a senior fellow for military aerospace at the International Institute for Strategic Studies in London. “It was talked about in the ’60s, but it ran into a lot of obstacles. To the extent that the Russians are seriously revisiting this is pretty interesting.”

Such technology could alter the balance of power, but Mr. Barrie questioned whether Russia was even close to deploying it.

“Does reality mean you have an item in the budget saying, ‘Develop nuclear propulsion for a missile?’” he said. “Or does it mean, ‘We’re going to have one ready to use soon’? I’d certainly want to see more evidence to believe that.”

Mr. Putin said Russia had developed the weaponry because the United States had rejected established arms control treaties and was deploying new missile defense systems in Europe and Asia.

President Barack Obama said that he was willing to negotiate cuts deeper than the 1,550 arms that Washington and Moscow are permitted to deploy under the 2010 New Start treaty, which took full effect last month. But it expires in a few years, and neither Mr. Putin nor Mr. Trump has shown interest in renewing it.

The United States has also accused Russia of violating the Intermediate Nuclear Forces treaty. After Mr. Putin’s speech, Heather Nauert, the State Department’s spokeswoman, said Mr. Putin essentially confirmed that by trumpeting the country’s development of new nuclear weapons.

Mr. Putin was correct that the United States is investing in expanding missile defenses. But those were not meant to counter Russia’s huge arsenals, but rather the launching of a few missiles by a state like North Korea.

The new Russian weapons would render such defenses obsolete, Mr. Putin gloated, and if anyone found a workaround, “our boys will think of something new.”

Other weapons the Russian leader discussed included a ballistic missile called Sarmat that could round either pole and overcome any defense system; hypersonic nuclear weaponry that fly at 20 times the speed of sound; and unmanned deepwater submarines that could go huge distances at enormous speed.

Mr. Putin said that some of the weapons were so new that they had yet to be named, and announced a naming contest on the Ministry of Defense website.

Political analysts said it was an effective campaign ploy whether the weapons existed or not. “He’s giving people the image of a desired future, of a future for Russia, and that’s appealing for his domestic audience,” said Aleksei V. Makarkin, the deputy head of the Center for Political Technologies, a Moscow think tank.

Mr. Putin’s guns-and-butter, Russia-can-do-it-all speech came 17 days before the March 18 election. It seemed intended to reassure voters that expanded social spending would help solve the economic problems of the past four years, while sending the message that Mr. Putin was their best hope in protecting a Russia portrayed as a besieged fortress.

The reality that the country lacks the money to pay for a giant increase in social spending combined with a new generation of weapons was beside the point, Mr. Makarkin said.

“People may say Russia depends on oil, Russia doesn’t have the money, but the population at large doesn’t care about that,” he said. “They just want to know that we are a superpower.”

On the social front, Mr. Putin promised to double government spending on health care and raise pensions. He said Russia would reduce the poverty rate — official statistics indicate that around 14 million Russians live below the poverty line — by 2024.

Mr. Putin also said that life expectancy, currently at 73, a leap from when he first took office in 2000, should exceed 80 by 2030.

Critics doubt that Russia will ever have the means to deliver so much, given its stumbling economy and relatively depressed oil prices. Max Trudolyubov, a newspaper columnist and political analyst, called the speech a modern version of the Czar Cannon, a giant 16th-century piece of armament that sits on the Kremlin grounds and that legend holds never really worked.

For years, Mr. Putin has chafed at the perceived disrespect showed to him and Russia by the United States. “Nobody listened to Russia,” he said near the end of the speech, to huge applause. “Well, listen up now.”

The US White House and Pentagon have dismissed Russia’s new nuclear arsenal as “no surprise.” American officials took the opportunity to accuse Russia of treaty violations and boast that their arsenal is “second to none.”
TrendsDonald Trump, Nuclear weapons, Vladimir Putin
“We’ve been watching Russia for a long time. We’re not surprised,” said Pentagon spokeswoman Dana White following Vladimir Putin’s state of the nation address. Putin had unveiled a new Russian strategic arsenal that he said was bound to make Washington stop looking down on Moscow. Russia’s new deterrent, Putin said, is invulnerable to interception.

“America is moving forward to modernize our nuclear arsenal and make sure our capabilities aren’t being matched,” White bragged in response.

White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders reiterated the theme, pointing to America’s massive military budget, as well as US President Donald Trump’s own nuclear doctrine.

“US defense capabilities are and will remain second to none, and now because of the new defense budget of $700 billion our military will be far stronger than ever,” Sanders said. “As the president’s nuclear posture review made clear, America is moving forward to modernize our nuclear arsenal and ensure our capabilities are unmatched.”

She also accused Russia of violating a 1980s missile treaty. “President Putin has confirmed what the United States government has known all along, which Russia has denied: Russia has been developing destabilizing weapons systems for over a decade in direct violations of its treaty obligations,” Sanders said.

At the State Department, spokeswoman Heather Nauert attacked the CGI video simulation played during Putin speech to demonstrate the new missiles’ capabilities. Nauert claimed it depicted an attack on the US, despite there being no depictions of presumed targets or points of impact. When journalists in the briefing room, both Russian and American, pointed out that detail, she deflected their comments.

During his address, Putin said everything Russia is doing to strengthen its defenses is within existing arms control agreements. “I should specifically say that Russia’s growing military strength is not a threat to anyone; we have never had any plans to use this potential for offensive – let alone aggressive – goals.”

Russia’s embassy to the US issued a separate statement, pointing out that the Sarmat missile Putin showcased is within the provisions of the 1982 INF treaty.

President Putin rebuffed accusations by Western media outlets that he was starting a new arms race. That race, he said, was kicked off when the US pulled out of a 30-year anti-ballistic-missile treaty with the Soviet Union and Russia. “If we are to speak of an arms race, then an arms race started precisely at that point,” he told NBC host Megyn Kelly in an interview, referring to a decision taken by George W. Bush in 2002.

Nah. Japan was already more advanced than US in military gunboats.

If America didn't bomb Japan, you will be born in some shithole countries in SEA worse than what you are living in, looking at the other side of the coin. Somethings we call these necessary evil.

What a load of crap! If Russia had such a weapon, it would have long ago flattened the USA. Instead, it has to endure daily humiliation from NATO enroaching onto its sphere of influence and watch its mercs get slaughtered by Yankee missiles.
