Besides increasing reports of breakdowns, MRT trains are even sporting leaks now.
A netizen reported a leak in a North East Line (NEL) MRT train on the Stomp website.
The netizen had taken a train in the direction of Punggol about 6pm yesterday evening (14 September) when water started pouring from the roof of the train.
There appears to be a heavy downpour at the time.
The netizen believes that the leak, which alternated from a slight drip to a heavy pour, started when the train was at the Chinatown station and continued until the Serangoon station.
No NEL staff appeared to fix the leak. This is also the first time the netizen encountered a leak on the train.
inSing editors echo the netizen's experience that this is the first time in recent memory that a train leak has been reported. We also note that the NEL is a fully underground line and the trains are not exposed to the weather.
So how did the leak occur?

That reminds me of one episode of Bert & Ernie ( no!, they are not gay), Ernie was in the bathtub, with an umbrella, a Bowling Ball & something else I forgot!. Bert, asked him, what he needs them for?, an umbrella in case of rain (which it did), someone came by and borrowed the bowling ball..

In case, you are travelling on the MRT's, bring along that umbrella everday & a raincoat also, googles & flippers, just in case. If,you come across No porn Lui carrying that MY PAPer, please say Hello! to him..and pass him that bowling ball, don't forget, to bring that along too.
