Best is a private basis passenger service. E.g. take students to / from school or office workers, daily arrangement. You beat the bus by speed because you make just only 2-3 stops. In long haul the passengers will be willing to pay high. E.g. Jurong Island.

He is the problem - if you ferry anybody for commercial consideration you will be charged by LTA and your insurance will be null and void. If you loan your car to some else, the same penalties.

The best is to run errands using the vehicle. Covert to a small van and you can help students shift, courier packages for the elderly, the local friendly neighbourhood chap.
