...I soaked my thumb for half an hour in ice water... Relief for 15 mins, now it hurts again...

You can apply a cream like Burnol. I usually keep one in the house for emergencies. It's good for blisters, minor burns, minor scalds. Wishing your thumb a speedy recovery!

Please never apply toothpaste on burn wounds. Toothpastes contain abrasive ingredients like glass (to polish teeth) and that does not help when it gets into burn wounds

just apply antiseptic cream and bandage it. your body will heal itself

It's much better now. Applying lots of moisturizer to prevent drying as per Boss Leong's kind advise, Oops..I mean advice :biggrin:
