Mudland no air defence, still using WWII radar.

we are arrogant
thinking only we have the best equipment
and only we are capable of tracking and identifying flying objects

Wow. Give this man (Keith Ledgerwood) a Tiger for his imagination, investigation or perhaps even explanation of what actually happened !

It may have picked up a commercial jet and ignore the "plot"

As for OZ, they stay silent. Military sensitivity or Aussie asleep.

Strategic radar systems in service in Australia

Confirmed. JORN is also not 24hrs. All relak one corner.

Australia has a military over-the-horizon radar (OTHR) network, which allows it to observe all air and sea activity north and northwest of Australia for up to 3,000 km (1,860 miles).

However, the Jindalee Operational Radar Network (JORN), which has radar capability extending into the Indian Ocean, does not operate on a 24-hour basis, according to Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) documents.

again geniuses, if you think radar is that great, spend a day a a radar station old or new. See if you can really track all aircraft in the sky.

you don't want to spend your life working at a radar station with powerful 4 ghz transmitters leaking energy via poorly connected waveguides and joints from the radio emission flange and power amplifier. it will literally expend your life. :o

Hey, this chap stole my theory lah, only a different tweak.

What about my theory 2 planes are involved, one as decoy flew U turn to distract ATCs and MH370 fly below the other plane heading north to North Korea. In this theory fuel is the main problem and heading north to North Korea straight path make sure fuel is enough to reach North Korea.

Bingo! This theory made the most sense among the other crap theories surfaced in this forum. To establish the final destination, the authorities need to conduct background check on the passengers.

The failure of RMAF in this instance will lead to the discovery of sinkapore spies in that organization. The spies thought that aircraft was from RSAF, so they pretended not to see anything.

Does anyone remember this incident where ATC Nielsen was alone on duty at Zurich air traffic control at night when a Russian passenger plane flying from Moscow to Barcelona collided with a DHL cargo jet mid air.

One of the observation was that he was having communication problems with an unexpected airplane landing at that time of night.
Also, his main radar was being repaired and the backup did not having collision warning.

As a result, he lost sight of the plane that had entered his control and later, when he found the plane, it was 40 second to impact, he issued a command to the pilot that caused the pilot to crash into the DHL.

All this while, the German ATC looked on helplessly because the planes were not in their control. The German systems were flashing red for collision warning.

The details ...

Man jailed for air traffic controller murder

A Russian man has been sentenced to eight years in jail for killing an air-traffic controller he blamed for the loss of his family in an air crash.
A Swiss court found Vitaly Kaloyev guilty of the premeditated killing of Peter Nielsen, who was stabbed to death at his home in Zurich in 2004.

Kaloyev's wife and two children were among 71 people killed when two planes collided in Swiss airspace in 2002.

Premeditated killing is a lesser charge than murder under Swiss law.

Prosecutors had called for a 12-year sentence for Kaloyev, while his defence lawyers said he should not receive more than three years for the crime.

Kaloyev had earlier made a partial confession, insisting that the attack on Nielsen, stabbed in front of his own three children, was not pre-meditated.

"I went to Nielsen as a father who loves his children so he could see the photos of my dead children and next to them his kids, who were alive," he said in court.

"Everyone can make mistakes, but these are my children."

Rallies in support

Nielsen was alone on duty at Zurich air traffic control when a Russian passenger plane flying from Moscow to Barcelona collided with a DHL cargo jet.

Aboard the jet was Kaloyev's family, flying to visit him in Spain, where he was working as an architect.

Nielsen, who had not been told that the collision-avoidance system was not fully working, warned the pilots only 43 seconds before they collided.

The investigation into the accident, by Swiss, German, Russian and American specialists, revealed numerous shortcomings in the work of SkyGuide, the Swiss air-traffic control service.

However, to Moscow's fury, SkyGuide blamed the Russian crew.

Most seriously, they repeatedly accused them of failing to carry out instructions when ordered. That turned out to be untrue.

Investigators found that the crash resulted from a combination of human error, systems failures and technical problems.

In Russia, Mr Kaloyev's actions are widely seen as a crime of passion, notes BBC analyst Stephen Eke, and many Russians see the initial Swiss response as a demonstration of anti-Russian prejudice.

SkyGuide has since accepted full responsibility and asked relatives of the victims for forgiveness.

There have been rallies of support for Mr Kaloyev in Moscow and North Ossetia, his home region.

Missiles are often supersonic too, and they could come from state, state-backed or non-state players. I am not saying the threat is imminent, just possible. I'm also saying that I believe we have the technical capability of spotting such threats.

I doubt if we have the ability to detect supersonic missiles. The supersonic missiles do not have that kind of range in general. For a misslie threat of that range (u are saying beyond western Malaysia), you either go cruise missile ALCM, or SLCM and their flight profile is very low, almost sea skimming or terrain following. And because of their small size, very hard to detect. But they are subsonic. The other option is a intermediate range balliastic missile, and their flight path is almost suborbital anyway. There will be no warning, and maybe the Iron DOme can catch them on the way down. In any case, an IRBM missile launch is usually detected by satellite and not usually tracked by our AEWs. Or even ground based radar.

Lol! Your theory on the plane disappearing to North Korea would eventualy turn out to be as incredibly wrong as your theory on Jesus the imaginary character from the jewish story book disappeared to St Paul Cathedral London. Mark my words.
