An eyewitness said on citizen journalism website STOMP that there was a burning smell of plastic on the train when he got onboard at the Buona Vista station, one stop before Dover.
"When the train arrived at Dover, I heard someone scream and everyone started to evacuate.
"SMRT personnel were already standing by at the platform while more smoke came from the train.
"After five minutes, the empty train was driven away," said the netizen named Hirakawa.</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
