Talking about MRT escalators what fuckshit is this CNIM? We grow up with Otis, Kone, Schindler, Mitsubishi etc but what fuck is this that MRT is using now a days?

Fucktards in MRT just don't learn do they?

CNIM is a French turnkey conglomerate dealing in construction, industrial design and manufacturing. All their escalators are made in China by their wholly-owned subsidiary CTE.

Escalators and walkways projects

The CNIM Group has over 30 years experience in the design, manufacturing, installation, onsite testing of equipment commissioning of escalators and moving walkways all over the world.

Several thousands of CNIM heavy duty escalators and walkways are in operation daily in public critical areas such as subways, railways, airports and ferry terminals, where the traffic is extensive during long hours per day, the operation conditions are very severe, and the availability ratio of the equipment must be very high.

Many of the most important Mass Transit Systems or Airports in the World rely on CNIM to secure an efficient and safe transportation of their passengers in and out of the Stations, or Passenger Terminal Buildings in Paris, London, Brussels, Mexico, Cairo, Jakarta, Hong Kong, Taipei, Beijing, Singapore, Budapest…

CTE is the only CNIM site producing transport equipment; these are delivered to Europe, Canada, Algeria and Asia (Hong Kong, China, Singapore).

100% made in China:
Originally designed by CNIM, all engineering activities are now fully managed and reviewed by CTE in China.
Each escalator pre-assembled and 100% tested in CTE workshop.
Performing onsite installation and final testing.

CTE’s success is due not only to the high quality and competitive prices of our range of equipment, but also to the talent flexibility and adaptability of our engineers and technicians fully focused on our clients' requirements.

Based on statistics...

It is easier to die from an air crash than getting killed by an escalator.

Thank you for the clarification so I guess it's safe

poor kid had to witness her mother being consumed by the faulty escalator.

honestly i never ever paid attention to the escalator brands.

Nowadays it's common to bump into people walking with their attention focused on their handphones.

Sporeans better wake up & pay attention to their surroundings or they might get a nasty surprise like losing their hands, their toes, or have doors fall on them,.....
Cannot assume that things will work as safely or expected under the PAP.

I eally hope for critical equipment like escalators and elevators the Singapore government only allow the Europeans and Japanese brands to be use here.
