It is very rude and unkind to mock the lack of language skills in someone else especially when they're not speaking their native language.

Nobody can be proficient in everything.

This Mr Brown character does nothing but sit on the sidelines and make fun of the party that I have grown to love and respect. If he's so damned talented, why doesn't he go into politics and help the PAP make Singapore a better place instead of simply making jokes from the sidelines.

One day when you are free, you want to run a webex tutorial on the following

• The definition of troll
• How to spot a troll
• How to bait others
• How to repeatedly bait others

When they graduate, you might go on to phase II and cover the following

• How to provoke discussions without giving the game away with the devil or the advocate emerging
• How to provoke people into action and aim for the future
• How to do all of the above and still have your core principles intact

I remember fondly of Mr. Brown's SNE pieces and his campy Bak Chor Mee Man podcasts.

He was the staple then but Brown's offering is getting stale of late.

This forum has contributed immensely to nation building. The PAP gains an insight into the thoughts of the ungrateful 40% who have no appreciation for what the govt has done for the country. The information they gain helps them to formulate plans to fix the opposition come the next election.

As for your taxes I have to point out that if the government depended upon the morsels of tax dollars from the average taxpayer, the country would have gone broke years ago.

The govt keeps taxes low because they care for Singaporeans and do not want to burden them with high taxes. Instead, through astute investment strategies and hard work, they earn their keep from the returns of GIC and Temasek, the profits from SIA, ST group and other wildly successful GLCs.

while keeping direct taxes low, they screw us over in every other conceivable form of indirect taxation. the main beneficiaries of a low tax model are the uber earners. the country is deprived of tax revenue, and there are less resources available for redistribution. these are old arguments and its undeniable the current system is skewed towards benefitting the upper-middle classes.

the returns of GIC and temasek would not have been possible without the CPF board purchase of their bonds using our cpf monies.

let's not forget the wildly unsuccessful ventures like SIP for one.

please don't delude yourself with the importance of this forum. few people mean what they say, and the majority are trolls. its unfathomable that the mighty PAP feedback machinery will need a forum like this to tell them how unhappy the people are. the idiot who approved the purchase and running of this forum should be shot for wasting tax payers money.
