The Moslem Satan will have a good laugh over this, that his Judeo-X'tian pal just got one pagan festival shot down in Peasantpore.

Isabella Loh, the idiot vehemently denies that senior management and Phony Tan thinks such pagan events are bad for Pagan Peasantpore. At least, she is braver than Thio, Yang and Hong who only pick on bapoks.

Isabella Loh defended the sudden move to label poly students as devil worshipers and canned the pagan Halloween.

'having an event like Halloween Horrors is like worshipping the devil.' WRS senior management member who dared to crow the nonsense but do not dare to acknowledge it.......

So Isabella Loh and her judeo-x'tian fanatics ought to write a letter to MCYS to ban Dragon Boating next.

If the roasting gets too hot, Isabella Loh should adopt Phony Tan's 'Collective Responsibity Doctrine' and absolve herself from any blame.

Its witch hunting time. Ban Santa too. And all the comic book heros. All devil worship. Put a wooden stake in the heart of the old buzzard when he choke on his birthday cake.

Rabid crazed x'tians and jewish deity worshipers, if given a free rein will impose all kinds of Prohibitions. Their aim is to defeat the pagan peasants and Moslems with the aid of Vatican Rome and Protestant goons. Once the pagans are defeated, they will reap immense financial gain as we can see CHC, CCC, deviant churches soliciting 10% from their silly followers. All day long we have silly peasants lamenting the silly 'donations' to CPF but willing widen their arses for further exploitation ... only in Peasantpore.

Halloween was never part of the culture. I don't get why everyone is so worked up about them cancelling it in favor of a Deepavali event which is part of our culture

What in the world does the Zoo have anything to do with the government?

the thing bro, is that they organise this for past 9 years...and suddenly tarik brake...after selling tickets and spending like 1m? Without a good reason?

sounds fishy non?

halloween is being celebrated in pubs, discos, parties...

its the perceived bowing to political pressure that is irking. You r right to say Singapore Zoo has nothing to do with the government but why is it that they suddenly tarik brake? Why not just finish with this year's event and stop it?

To be fair, its good that Deepavali celebrations will be done instead of the Halloween stuffs as Deepavali is part of our Singapore culture.

However, the abrupt cancellation i believe is done not by that Loh herself . There should be a high authority that wanted to do away with it and Loh has been tasked to do it.

Many things wrong here. First they pulled a Mathatir. Something Singapore takes pride in, once agree, its complied all the way. Make a offer, offer is accepted (1000 tickets bought) and suka suka change mind a week before the event. Second, as far as secular goes, they are religion blind. Otherwise board of directors got to sit down and decide if fathers day, mothers day, mid-autumn festivals, casinos, miss universe is too pagan. The religious right have hijacked the zoo. I am not renewing my membership and boycotting the zoo until the bitch CEO steps down.

So we are basically just assuming that the government have a hand in this coz the cancellation was abrupt?

Yes I totally agree, why not finish it since they've already spend money on it but how does that have anything to do with the government is beyond me. I just thought it was a case of bad management and bad decision making. I see that every freaking day at the office. I am pretty sure everyone in here has more then enough horror stories on bad decision making.

kids nowadays..no Halloween party at the Zoo make it like end of the world...nabei..:oIo::oIo::oIo::oIo::oIo:

its too coincidence not to think so. whether or not, the CEO wants to join the dots of what TT says & decided to u-turn on the halloween i dunno. But definitely, i fee, TT's comments have a role to play.

normally a new CEO when stepped into a new job, you don't change too many things drastically unless its in bad shape. Singapore Zoo is not in a bad shape, the Halloween activity has been well received and all work is 95% for this year's edition. Why on earth, do you want to change?

they say new broom sweeps clean, sure, but to drastically introduce such a change just so new in the job (2mths)?

i based my arguments on 2 points:

a) you dun change drastically something that is not broken. Just like soccer management, do you sack the entire team when a new manager comes in? No, but he does it progressively, he bring his new players, and mix with existing players

b) the event has been doing well for the past 9 years, there is always the opportunity to not hold it next year since it is so close to the event date.

Celebrating Halloween do not equate to believing in worshipping in devil. I celebrate Christmas too, by having turkey, does that i mean i believe in the birth of Jesus Christ or Christianity? No...

Halloween celebration can also be wholesome family affair, leave it to the parents to pass on the correct values. Or the zoo can emphasis it as a family outing / event...there can be cute ghosts / scary ghosts...

Halloween is another instance of american cultural imperialism. Why should a singaporean child be trick-or-treating when there's so much local culture to learn about?

I totally disagree with U on that one. ALL the companies that I work for when the new CEO comes in, they always make major and more often then not, ridiculous changes to the org. Take my present company for example, I have 3 different CEOs in this company, every time they changed one, all the different business units get reorganized. Some units that use to belong under 1 division suddent find themselves under another. Some office which used to report to 1 division suddenly gets split into 2. My colleague's story lagi best. When he joined his last company the ERP system was SAP, change boss then change the Oracle. Change boss again, wanted to change to SAP again and he quit

bro...u tokking abt internal changes / re-org...

does ur company suddenly cancel all the contracts with service providers / contractors with the change in CEO? Do you change advertising companies?

Actually, yes. We cancelled all our HP contracts with Starhub and jump over to Singtel when the current boss took over. And if you think it's ridiculous, I totally agree with U.
