More sob stories from Dr Koh at Punggol Rally...no sympathies please.

Why are we having this election? LKY believes in Confucius. Confucius said to be a man above man, you have to start with cultivating the self, then the family and eventually the nation. Look to me like even the first step is an F score.

your observation is right. political changes and policies blow with the wind...even at the expense of righteous cultivation. at the end of it all, greed and power remain the cornerstone of political intrigues and games.

Politics: Poli a Latin word meaning "many " , and tics meaning " bloodsucking insects " . ;) " politicks" is never clean around the world .

I did not know "tics" is also a Latin word. While politicians elsewhere will find ways within the rules to take advantage of their opponents and the people will throw them out if they misstep, in Singapore the politicians in power set rules to forever keep themselves in power. As with the other countries, the people can also throw them out, if not in an election by some other means. The test of whether a country is democratic or not is whether there is a need for people to resort to these other means.

Although I don't subscribe to a religion, I believe in a negative feedback system that exists in nature that gives a result similar to karma. When things get carried too far, there will be a counter reaction that will correct that overstep.

In sociology there is this social phenomenon called goal displacement....where a person sets out wanting to do A as his objective, along the way A becomes B. i think that transition may have occurred the minute the Old Guard left and allowed the thieves amongst them to start subverting their original PAP agenda and steer this little ship into pirates' hands......

ask any senior PAP grassroots person from the 70s and 80s and they will tell you the same thing....

they are shocked and terrified at what a total monster the present party has become....

things totally unheard of and unthinkable, have started happening in the party.....

FS, you are absolutely correct. There is no need to have any religion to believe in retribution. Retribution has been there long before religion hijacked it. Thanks for a brilliantly wise observation.

In politics, all these things are thrown out of the humanity house's window. It's tricks and strategies that asked for bargaining power. 2nd hand cars salesmen.

Dr. Arsekoh comes from a very poor family and I am sure he cheats and steals during his younger days.
I used to cheat my parents when I altered the report book and report lost to my teacher.
Everyone does....unless he is born through the back. Agree?

In those days, everyone was poor. He thought he was the odd one out.

If you ask LTK, Silvia Lim, Desmond Lim, Chee Soon Juan, everyone was poor when they were a kid. Some of their parents might have sold coffee in milk cans to construction workers, others roadside nig nag sellers have to watch out for NEA and many of them have several sons and daughters to feed at home in rented house.

His father was a iron-rice bowl bus driver and he called himself poor and trying to compare now with those of his fathers is telling the world only him came from a poor family and others are more wealthy than him. Today, poverty has gone up manifold compared to past, was it not the work and hands of PAP that causes it?

What worm-tongue he's got!

Since when Singapore is democratic ? on the surface Singapore is showing other country that it is democratic but we singaporean know that is not the case ;)

Does it mean that to throw them out, you have to resort to other means?

arsehole koh claimed to grew up in pig sty so that mean his grandfather a pig farmer. to operate a pig farm, one has to own land. ah gong landowner consider poor? those day, pig were not cheap when compare to income level, so i dont buy into his BS of being poor. i grew up in punggol too, most pig/chicken/duck farmer maybe topless with only a ah pek short but most at least own a pickup to bring their produces to the market in the morning. It not poor per se but the lifestyle more down to earth.

Everyone can see how MBT turned out. He screwed HDB residents left right and center and into the future.

Totally agreed. This chap really screwed us all the way.. past, present and future. The most hated minister during his time. In the future, he will be remembered next to Lim Yew Hock. The mention of his name will bring out vulgarities from everyone's mouth.

As I said in my early post ... To win in politics u have to try all kind of tactics To win . The objective is to Win .. nothing else matter ..That's politics . ;)
