A multi-millionaire was arrested for trying to steal a chicken in China.
The businessman, surnamed Zhang, was traveling in his BMW when he passed by a village in Xinyu town of Xiangxi province last week.
He saw some chickens searching for food at the courtyard of a farmhouse.
When he saw that there was no one around, the greedy Zhang immediately alighted from his car and hid behind a lamp post.
Zhang chased after one chicken which was nearby and attempted to catch it but failed, which resulted in the rest of the chickens running around, flapping their wings and making a lot of noisy sounds.
The commotion alerted the owner, who went to check and arrested Zhang.
Zhang apologised for his greed.
He was released after police gave him a warning.
