Men are worse drivers, say women

Women interviewed disagree with the findings of Miros's study and believe there are more angry drivers among men than women. They observe that Malaysians are polite, but tend to get agitated when the roads are congested and they are in a rush for time.

KUALA LUMPUR - Most women dri*vers interviewed by The Star disagreed with Miros' study, which found that women are angrier dri*vers than men.

University student Nabiha Mohd Yusof, 22, said Malaysians were polite people but when it came to driving, they seemed to get easily agitated. "Many of us are usually rushing for time, so we tend to get frustrated when the road is congested. "However, I disagree that women are the angrier drivers. The only reason I get mad when I am driving is usually due to other personal reasons," she said.

Service delivery consultant Sha*ron Thamaiyanthi, 36, said men were actually angrier drivers than women. "Women are the ones who tend to anger drivers but they are not the angry drivers. Most women tend to drive slowly, which makes other drivers angry, especially men," she said.

IT consultant Jayamalar Jaya*kumaran, 31, said Malaysia had two types of drivers, one that was calm and kind and the other temperamental and tends to get angry easily. "Angry drivers are not necessarily women. I believe there are more angry drivers among men. The percentage should be lower for women.

"As for me, I do not usually get angry when I am driving. Even when I do I just brush it off the next minute," she said. HR recruitment specialist Lee Siew Fun, 27, said drivers here were angrier drivers compared to other places, mainly due to the fast pace of life and traffic congestion in the city.

"I am a patient driver myself. I never get mad when I am driving," she said. Special projects and event executive Mohd Faruq Mohd Iskandar, 27, agreed with the views of the women drivers and admitted that he was more likely to be an irrita*ted driver.

"I think men are angrier drivers, especially during traffic jams. "We are usually not very polite drivers when the road is packed," he said.

Hey woman, no need to defend your driving skills....

To date I have yet to see a woman do parallel parking one time zune-zune go in without moving the car front and back constantly.

The topic needs clarification!
Angry drivers, i would admit that more percentage of men loses their cool when they are pissed off when driving!
Lousy fucked up drivers, this category is owned by women! Don't believe? Try driving in KL & you will see how the aunty drivers with loads of kids drive in the outskirt & in the city how those so called career ladies drive their car! You would really wish that you had the guts to just stop them in their track, pull them out of the car & just sapped them non stop till they realised that they are idiots for driving the way the drove!
