EDMWer: Female be careful when booking grab in Malaysia

This might be me being paranoia but doesnt hurt for females to be caution when taking grab in Msia.

Last sat 24 May 2025, I went JB with my wife. After clearing the customs and making our way to the bus central area to book for grab.

After she booked for grab, the driver (an indian driver) message her and ask her how many pax to which she replied 2 then the driver didnt respond. This comes across as odd as this is the first time we encounter grab driver asking how many pax after receiving order.

the 2nd oddity, while the app shows that the driver is 4 mins away from us, even though the road down is congested, the location of the driver never move even after 10-15 mins. While others around us booked later than us and their ride came.

so we decided to cancel and book again and another driver took our order, came after 8mins and we went our way.

While nothing happened, the 2 oddities trigger my alertness and I like to remind all travelers to jb to be caution and dont go alone. If ladies, at least 2 to 3 in a group will be safer.

What's the relevance of mentioning the driver's race?

As though championing racial rights of a certain group.

It IS RELEVANT because it is a FACT. That happened as experienced by TS.

If the driver was a Malay or Chinese, the TS would have said so. You idiot.

so better tell all Grab Drivers that ask how many passengers that you have 3 passengers lor ... confirm can sieve out the evil driver and be safe then
