I noticed that alot of the healthcare companies and hospitals not making
monies these days, fews days back got 1 aticle also (see below)

It seems that the medishield life is going to start in 2016, the coincidental same timing when the hospitals in singapore start to go belly up due to huge drops in medical tourists.

This smells of a bailout of the hospitals in singapore using taxpayers monies, else how can the timing be so accurate

It seems the ruling party is trying to make singaporeans bail out their friends and cronies in the health care sector

It may be also to bail out the govt. Many not so poors 'Love' visiting hospitals. They accumulated huge bills that Medishield does not cover. They may also have insufficient funds in medisave and yet not poor enough to get medifund. They are also pretty good in complaining. Whenever they were asked to pay, they publicize it and made the govt look bad.

A way out is to make medilife compulsory, increase the premium so that those who diligently works towards staying healthy are made to pay the bills of those who don't care, enjoys seeing doctor frequently but kpkb when they are asked to pay. To me, they should pay for their neglecting their own health. The govt should also foot the bill because they collected taxes and they have been promoting the wrong thing. Instead of stressing the importance of healthy lifestyle, we mostly see propaganda on medical checkups for early detection - so that you pay medical bill for the tests and analysis, even when you are perfectly healthy!!

What about the fat apuneh Prataman, who had a heart attack? He lived a lousy lifestyle too? If these fucks were not rich and well connected, they would be broke by now due to the cost of their treatments. No one ask to be sick, but they do, and contract all sorts of diseases thru no fault of theirs. Also, people age, and their old age related medical bills costs money. You want to prevent people from growing old? What are u? God?

Those bloodsuckers, Pinky, Prataman & Wooden, didn't have to pay a cent for the healthcare. It was courtesy of the taxpayers. These elites get healthcare coverage - the best in the world - that no sinkee can dream off. If they need the top expert, one will be flown in, at no cost to them.

Can we control the air we breathe, the exposure to carcingens, etc? If you want to nickle and dime everything, you won't have a society.

Smoking is bad for health ...the government takes in hundreds of millions in taxes from cigarettes sale. Shouldn't the government be paying for the healthcare of smokers? If the government is seriously about healthcare, then it should ban the sale of cigarettes. It ban sale of chewing gums, why not cigarettes?

Point - you can't nickle and dime everything. Something has to be socialized. Having said that, I don't support medishield because it is not truly a health insurance scheme; it is more like another way of squeezing more money from us.
