Lackey Sam Tan says MCYS wants to be a good guy now. If smarter peasants recall, MCYS, under the Feudal Lord, Minion Chindian Viv wants to starve old destitute peasants. According to Viv, starving old peasants will create a healthy tension that ultimately benefits the regime because starving old peasants will die faster thanks to malnutrition and denied medication.
If you read the holy books of the moslems and christians, their Satans were never on the record for starving old peasants but Viv makes it look so easy and natural.
Enters Lackey Sam Tan to the rescue. We reproduce Lackey Tan's manifesto.
While it sounds impressive thanks to Mouthpiece CNA, Lackey Tan is simply rehasing Viv's old tricks, make the old peasants work for their stipends without minimum wages. This is similar to Uncle Sam's 'Oil for Food' scam in Iraq. Old destitute peasants are presented with one choice 'Work for food or Die'. Lackey Tan wants to see them washing dishes or waiting on tables at hawker centres while his own parents enjoy life thanks to his fat cat stipends.
It is nothing new because addition spendings on old desitute peasants will mean less peanuts in state coffers and the Imperial Family will be greatly displeased. Ruler Loong will not like to see less peanuts in state coffers during his reign lest he be labelled as imcompetent by History books. Hence Lackey Tan is clever to understand this concept.
Why is Lackey Tan able to pull off such tricks in a procedural democracy?
The reason is simple, procedural democracy.

In procedural democracies, the peasants' representatives are 'appointed' because of prevasive non-contests during procedural elections in Peasantpore.
As a result, lackeys like Sam Tan do not need to indulge in gutter retail politics and have no obligations and accountability to his electorate peasants. Lackey Tan knows it is Ruler Loong who selected him as a representative and his loyalty is to his Ruler/Master takes paramount importance over peasants' welfare.
Hence he is able to propose such vile anti-peasant policy 'old peasants work or die' without batting an eyelid.
Advice to Lackey Tan
If Lackey Tan has some speck of conscience, he should return home and force his aging parents to wait on hawker centres' tables, citing an active lifestyle will help them....
