Maxwell Hawker Centre

NW also pointed out the Claypot rice but I prefer the one at Chinatown complex, (LIAN HE BEN JI).
Not sure your claypot stall is the same as mine, but yes, Chinatown got 1 claypot stall has the best claypot rice I've eaten, manage by an old couple, and you have to walk into a small alley to get into their stall. Basically at the main escalator, just walk northwest side. Got 1 time, i went at 7pm, finished liao.... -.-"

Did you say the Kwantung wanton mee is gone?
If you are talking about the stall selling wanten mee and beef brisket mee, facing opposite maxwell house, then thats the stall, gone liao...

The stall is managed by sisters. Stall is near the side facing the old Oriental Cinema. The name of the stall is 联合本记。

Oohh... its different.. ate before, next time I let you know which 1 i referring to, cant remember that name. But its a gem :)

There's a Thai stall at Maxwell that's not bad. You can order your choice rice meal set or noodle meal set. Beef and pork are available along with fried egg and other veggies not precooked but fresh fried on order. However, the the Thai style is not to fry the rice but the meat, egg and veggies only, then top it on a plate of rice. But if you order noodle, the noodle will be fried too. The last time I went there was last year after the last RP rally at Hong Lim before Nicole, Hazel, Tony & co. defected to NSP.

This is the most popular....
There are quite a few stalls there....my favourite is 川记 at the other quiet darker side near the toilet. Stall owner is an old man. I find his chicken meat is the smoothest.

I just took some pictures of the stalls that I always visited and share with you guys, if you happens to be there, try some of them :). Sorry ahh some stalls still close cox I went too early, hahaha...

Thanks for the pic Alamaking. I the past I used to go there for breakfast on Saturdays bringing my wife and mom and brother. One thing I like to eat is there is a stall facing the church run by an old lady selling chee cheong fan (I will order her chee cheong fan with oil, sesame oil and soya sauce) and few stalls after her is another stall selling fried bee-hoon and fried ngor-hiang ( I will order their 拉车面). Missed those simple breakfasts.

Boss, you really good life leh. Wed go foot massage, thurs go Batam. Friday spend halfway to shoot photo and try food. Me everyday 7am wake up, 7pm reach home, 9-6 have to worry company got sales or not....

Raiders, you selling what products or what category or products may I ask?

Wow! I like Kan Chia Mee (Rickshaw Noodle). Unfortunately, difficult to get this now. My mum still can cook very good Kan Chia Mee, with Ikan Bilis and Chai Sim. Funny, I love the taste when the noodle is left in the soap for longer.

The other one I really think extinct liaoz is Wan Kueh (Bowl Kuay).

Financial products. Now I don't need to sell liao. Just conduct training and ensuring the whole team function well.

Actually I'm not really familiar with the renovated Maxwell. The Thai stall my friend recommended was one at a corner. Good authentic Thai taste.

there's one very solid goreng pisang which u din put up pic. sell out very fast.

at the corner stall nearest to the carpark, there is a oyster mee sua and mee hoon kuey stall that sells until 1am. the stall is run by a sgp man with his PRC wifey. their fried oysters at $3/ plate is quite nice n so is the mee hoon kuey n oyster mee sua.

another retro stall which sells char bee hoon/mee but only opens haphazardly at night about 10pm onwards. their big size fried chicken wings is very solid at $1.20. the fried bee hoon is just simply fried with lots of garlic and a very intense flame. it tastes very full-bodied. the must order side dish is their sambal belachan ikan bilis which goes very well with the bee hoon.
