【明報專訊】大埔前日發生警務人員如廁遺失裝備罕見事件，一名女警在執勤期間疑「人有三急」到公廁解手，不慎把通訊機跌進踎廁，警方需要通宵封鎖公廁，等候今日食環署協助吸清化糞池協助尋找「失物」。
據悉，現場為大埔坑下莆一間公廁，遺失的通訊機連天線約9吋長，較一般軍裝警員所用通訊機小，價值逾1.3萬多元。
前晚約8時45分，當時一名隸屬大埔分區特遣隊女警員在區內執勤期間，突然「人有三急」到上址女廁格解手時，大意把隨身攜帶的通訊機跌落踎廁，並失去蹤影。女警無計可施，唯有把事件報告上級。警方接獲報告後，即時截斷該通訊機的通訊，並派員到女廁徹底搜尋，但未有發現，不排除通訊機已沿踎廁喉管滑進中央化糞池。
警通宵封鎖現場公廁
由於昨日適逢周日，警方需要通宵封鎖現場公廁及派警員駐守，不准「閒人進入」，以等候今日食環署派出工程車吸光化糞池內穢物協助尋回通訊機。因封鎖廁所關係，其間不少「三急」市民未能進入廁所解決。
警方發言人表示，署方接獲有關警員洗手間遺失通訊機的報告，亦已聯絡有關部門協助尋回。發言人重申，警隊就裝備的保管及使用有嚴格的規定，亦非常重視人員的行為和操守，會按既定程序調查。如證實有人員違規，定必嚴肅處理。
