A man, 62, was arrested after he attacked a car with a knife outside Sim Lim Tower on the afternoon of Aug 5.
Stomper Nay Zar, who was the car driver, shared dashcam footage of the incident as he was exiting the Sim Lim Tower carpark and about to turn into Jalan Besar.
The man, who was wearing a cap, can be seen walking in the middle of the road and stopping in front of Nay Zar's car to block the way.
The man was almost hit by a passing bus at one point.
As the Stomper reversed away from the man, the latter took out a knife and appeared to try to jump on the bonnet of the car but managed to get only one foot on the vehicle.

In the video, someone can be heard identifying himself as the police and asking Nay Zar what was happening.
He replied: "Don't know. He suddenly stopped in front of me."
The police officer then asked the Stomper to move back and "let his colleague come out".
Nay Zar told Stomp: "The person with a knife wanted to attack me. Thank god, the police were inside the car behind me.
"In the end, I realised that he wanted to disturb whatever car, so he left his bag in front of Sim Lim Tower and walked against traffic on the main road.
"I want to say thanks to the police who came in and helped."
In response to a Stomp query, the police said they attended to the incident at 4.15pm.
The man was detained and found in possession of a knife, a corkscrew and suspected drug utensils.
He was arrested for possession of offensive weapons and suspected drug-related offences, which were referred to the Central Narcotics Bureau.
Investigations are ongoing.
