Peter lim damn solid .. can bring man u star over and lim kopi with him.. Very impressive.. while others work hard to build a company, he identified good company , invest in them ( Wilmar investment made him billionaire) and become filthy rich.. Reminds me of Eduardo Saverin as well, initial investment and shares in face book made him worth 2 billion or more... How can lay people like us without such investment skills or business acumen make it huh??? Any advice?

Oh btw, Peter Lim didn't identify Wilmar to invest - fyi in the 90s Wilmar was still a private company then. It was Mr Kuok Khoon Hong (Wilmar's Chairman and CEO) who invited Peter to take up a stake in the company and invest long term. With all the dirty money made in stockbroking, Peter liked the idea and knowing that his $10 million is quite safe since Kuok is the nephew of Malaysian richest man "Sugar King" Robert Kuok. He just took a gamble and throw the money in.

10+ years later Wilmar got listed in S'pore and the share price went multi-fold after IPO... his $10m becomes billions. You can say that he is an accidental billionaire. Even Peter himself said in interview (published in Straits Times) that he was lucky and he never thought Wilmar can make him so fucking rich.
