- A 53-year-old man who was accused of taking upskirt photos of a woman in Bangsar died after he was confronted by police

- A woman lodged a police report after seeing the man taking upskirt photos of another customer using his mobile phone.
- She alerted a restaurant staff member and the authorities at a police station across the restaurant.

- The suspect denied the act and became aggressive when the police questioned him
- In a report by New Straits Times, Brickfields acting police chief Superintendent Arifai Tarawe said that the when the police confronted the suspect, he denied any wrongdoing.
- Arifai said, "The police officers asked him to hand over his mobile phone, but he refused."
- "He then tried to escape and ran towards the alley at the back of the restaurant. They chased him and tried to pin him down, but he became very aggressive."
- After struggling with the police, the man fell to the ground and lost consciousness
