Man fined $2,000 for tying wife to bed frame

He wanted to talk her out of divorcing him, but she did not want to listen to him. So he tied her to the bed frame.
Hearing her parents shouting at each other, the couple's eldest daughter called the police.
On Friday, a district court fined Mohd Hanif Abdullah $2,000 for contravening a personal protection order taken against him by his wife in May 2011.
The 46-year-old unemployed man had pleaded guilty to tying her up and instilling fear in his wife.
