Only in third world country will you find someone stealing milk powder for his kids. That's so sad.

On paper, we have a lot of "Rich" but very "POOR" people here, their Flat is worth $1,000,000, CPF $xxx,xxxx, unless the "poor" sell off his home & live on the streets & get his CPF money, which is closed to impossible until he is beyond 75, then he is POOR!.

In other words, the 3rd world guests are RICHer than the "poor" SINKees, for what money they get is current & now living, that is, they are living a 1st world standard of living. Whereas the promised "swiss standard" citizens is struggling to make a living & get to crawl towards his long term investments in his CPF!.

It doesn't matter if we are actually asset rich or not. By trumpeting the prices of our flats as well as the % of population actually 'owning' one, it gives the PAPzis bullet to announce to the world that we are generally 'rich'. That has been their agenda all the while.

As mentioned, it doesn't matter to them about 'lease' property or not. Just that "% of population OWNS public housing, public housing prices going up = Singaporeans rich"

That's what they want to portray to the rest of the world, and I might say they are really good at it.
