A serious bout of amnesia has hit mudlanders, voting for the one person responsible for their miserable lives and exodus to foreign countries for jobs while shouting reformasi. Voting him back in will suddenly improve their lives? Anwar is the biggest fool of all, he has zero chance of ascending the throne, which Dr. M will conveniently leave to his own son...

Its like voting lky back to take over his clown son to stop the country from sinking further.....it's dangerous giving that dictator and cold blooded reptile power again but at this point we are desperate.sometimes in order to fight stage 3 cancer u have to bombard ur body with poison and hope it dies before u do.

One good thing would be if mahartir pulls a xi Jing ping and have all BN leaders executed.and link their corruption back to PAP.

Not so fast ...until Mahathir is actually sworn in, anything can happen. The Agung and many of the Sultans, eg. Perak, Selangor, are trying every way they can to bring Najib back but fear the backlash from the Rakyat.

Head of military, civil service are having audience with the Agung over the issue of Mahathir becoming PM.

Coup de'tat could happen.

unlikely, jib is a snake. if he resurrect emergency law, even the sultans will not be spared. M is easier for them to control as Jib wield too much power that perverted the law and made the country poorer, meaning income for sultan also suffer.

Birds of a feather flock together...both are soft men and both believe money alone can solve everything even weakness of character.
They may have the same character leader, but LHL counts himself lucky to have meek sinkies than the gutsy Malaysian.

Look around you, those malaysians who moved away and came to SG, went to OZ, US and UK in the early 2000s.. when Mahathir was still in power. They were spitting and cursing his name... bumi policies, unfair advantage, marginalised chinese blah blah blah. Exactly those people are now voting for him and expecting reform.

Mahathir's chance was opportunistic and strategy, populist, chance came when Najib was embroiled in 1MDB and promising GST abolishment, banning Grab and ride-hailing companies and petrol subsidies were the carrot dangled in front of the electorate. At the end of the day, politics are still politics, policies to pander to majority votes will ensure bumi priority (maybe renamed) and malay first. Those expecting deviation from a tried and tested strategy to remain in power are simply delusional.

In times of uncertainty and intense crave for change, the proclivity to vote for old hands, not necessarily safe hands is strong. Nothing Mahathir promised during his campaign was ground-breaking or visionary. Oh, and don't worry unduly about the mudlanders or be hoodwinked into overestimating their patriotism by their numerous videos online (go back vote and save country etc..), their patriotism is a commodity, one that is pegged to exchange rates.
