This guy has a habit of backing the wrong horse.

He made derogatory remarks about Trump before the US elections and Trump threatened to screw his arse after he became President. He was forgiven only after he promised to buy billions of dollars of Boeing (Made in USA) aircraft.
And to think the 70% voted for him

u dun understand ...

ph oredi got simple majority ...

najis is playing ze card dat ph is not a registered party ... hens, ph cannot b considered 2 haf highest number of seats ... he wants ph 2 b counted by ze individual component parties ... if lidat played, ze single party 2 haf highest no of seats is bn ... he wants king 2 select pm based on party wif highest no of seats and ph is not a party ...
I think PKR has the highest number of seats. So king should appoint Wan Azizah to be PM to form govt. Therefore, legally she is the one to decide who to be PM if she chooses to relinquish the PM post after forming the govt.

Therefore, technically, Mahathir is not in the position to decide. Wan Azizah is the one to call the shot.

The thing is mahatir is sort of the front man of the alliance...and it has all agreed he be PM...and later Anwar will take over after he is release and wins the BE...so if mahatir is replaced un conventionally ...there will be uproar and the m&ds that that votes oppo will turn against them. And don't forget the biggest issue is the bumiputra policy. The m&ds want that policy to remain but the minorities wants it abolish.. better to let mahatir remain and deal with these hot potato issues..also heaps of interest groups are affected because their gravy train was BN...they will pull out all stops to disrupt the opposition...it won't be an easy ride for the opposition

My apology for not being clear. Under their election rule, if no single party has 112 seats, I think the King shall appoint a PM from the party with the highest seats to form the govt with other parties , i.e. coalition. So coalition formed before election results is not officially recognized. It is probably wirh this in mind that Mahathir's party was made "illegal". Therefore, the appointment of PM to form govt is still quite messy.

I have it on good authority that Jib kor is in intense discussions with the m&d king. With enough promises of alcohol, young girls and money, Jib may yet be the PM of mudland at 5pm. Keep your fingers crossed.

A serious bout of amnesia has hit mudlanders, voting for the one person responsible for their miserable lives and exodus to foreign countries for jobs while shouting reformasi. Voting him back in will suddenly improve their lives? Anwar is the biggest fool of all, he has zero chance of ascending the throne, which Dr. M will conveniently leave to his own son...

The PMship is decided on the basis of whoever has the majority support of the elected MPs. It's not based on parties, party size, etc. So technically, Najib from the losing party can still be PM if there are enough MPs (including those MPs from the winning PH parties) should they decide to support him to be PM.

Won't happen. At Mahatir's age, it's all about quitting as a winner and leaving a legacy. So Anwar will be the next PM.

john talking out of his ass again.
this king is different from the rest...one who is actually pious. Actually met him when he was doing his post-grad in europe. humble fella, goes about incognito dressed in islamic garb, never spotted drinking or womanizing.

Maybe with divine help, Azizah becomes pm first then Anwar. Difficult for jib to buy over enough seats. Difficult for king to appoint pm from bn. So between Mahathir's and Anwar, I think the king may prefer Anwar.
