The 15th General Election takes place today, over a month after caretaker Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob dissolved Parliament to pave the way for GE15. Barisan Nasional, the country's longest-serving coalition, is hoping for a second surprise victory after losing in 2018. Pakatan Harapan chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, however, is confident of winning a simple majority to form the government, while Perikatan Nasional chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin is aiming for a surprise win.

Follow along for real-time, on-the-ground updates.

Now that polling has started, I will reveal what made Pakatan Harapan (PH) blow their chance of forming a solid simple majority in parliament.

The compnent parties of PH should have kicked out Anwar simple because Malays do not trust him.

Without him Malays will swing their votes to PH and they could have easily won an extra 10 seats.

Anwar will see his dreams dashed again. My bet is the bastard UMNO will collaborate with the crazy cavemen from PAS and those flip flop parties from Sabah and Sarawak to form the new Government tomorrow. Anwar and Pakatan too over confident. Anwar political enemies will do everything to thwart him from being the PM. All these online polls from think tanks aren't reliable. Malaysia will go 100 steps backwards and become an economic basket case if what I predicted comes true tonight.

Several people noticed something amiss when walking past the man’s car and called for an ambulance.
PETALING JAYA: An elderly man was found dead in his car just minutes after casting his ballot today.
The 79-year-old had just voted at the SJKC Batu 11 polling centre in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur, and was believed to have got into his car to drive home, Sin Chew Daily reported.

Several passers-by noticed something amiss, though it was unclear what they had observed about the man.
They called for an ambulance but the paramedics who arrived soon after confirmed that he was dead. The body was taken to the hospital.

According to medical staff, the man resided at Batu 9, Cheras, and his finger was marked with indelible ink, showing he had voted earlier
