Malaysian Registered Bike Delivered Pizza

The local pizza company "Oishi Pizza" is a quite a small player in the local pizza delivery market. Probability due to save cost, one of the company delivery motorbike is Malaysian Registered and was ridden by a possible Malaysian Chinese Man.

I believed that using a foreign registered vehicle to do business are against Business and LTA rules and most importantly the insurance coverage for the rider is not valid for business purpose. I believed that bike used for delivery will be required to pay higher premium for insurance. The pizza company should be questioned and explain why a foreign motorbike is used and why they did not employ local riders?

I have seen Malaysian Registered Motorcycles with stacks of flyers, person stuffing them in letter boxes & house doors. Why are the Town Councils allowing this?

It's a question of his status, not the vehicle's. If the rider has a work permit, and the JD requires him to use his own vehicle, then he'll use his own vehicle even it it's Malaysian. If he's Malaysian and willing to ride his motorcycle to and in Singapore, it's perfectly legal. In fact, a Malaysian licence-holder can only drive a Malaysian vehicle, even in Singapore.

If Oishi Pizza can save costs by having a Malaysian Registered Bike then it is for the benefit of the customers because Oishi Pizza can operate at lower costs.

If not, using a Singapore bike, Oishi Pizza would have higher costs and these costs will be pass to customers.

You really think cost can pass to customers?! You think customers willing to absorb the additional cost?!

The saving goes into their profit!

Maybe the pizza require deliveryman to have it own transport so is perfectly legal.
And using Malaysia bike is more expensive. The daily $4 rate for motorbike to enter Singapore One month about $80++ . The poster really jeolous and never find out the truth.
