Affirmative actions in the states are given to minority, African Americans are a minority. The idea, like the wealth gap/ income gap, is to lower, reduce the disparity between the various community. As a minority, there is a natural tendency that he or she won't be as readily employed due to his or her social circumstances. However, in Malaysia it's the majority that has the affirmative action applied to them, not the minority.

Let's just change the races around. Let us assume in a country where chinese are a majority maybe singapore or say china for example where the han chinese are given special privileges and it's the same in singapore.
