Better pack brown pants. The Malaysian army is still actively fighting against the nuts who want to invade sabah, let the mamma boys here try them.
sulu insurgents. don't think sinkie guniangs including regulars and 6.9g million-dollar saf scholar generals will want to risk their lives fighting low ses fanatics seeking independence. sinkies have too much to lose: condos, cars, comfort, (air) con, cafés, chicken. the chicopek colonel crossing to jb with a china chicken and getting caught at checkpoint already proves that sinkies can play but can't fight.

Dude. The SAF is just an iron rice bowl for kaki Lang's. It's no longer about defending the nation. That is why the quality of the senior officers etc has degraded accordingly. Just look at the ex general running SPH and the generals running SMRT. I doubt they are that capable of Mounting effective military campaigns. If anyone thinks others wise. Please Keep Chui.

On Monday (July 2), English daily New Straits Times (NST) carried a letter arguing that Singapore's payment of three Malaysian sen (S$0.01) for 1,000 gallons of water from Johor "doesn't make sense". The letter, written by someone with the acronym AHM, said Singapore needs to be realistic as no one can buy anything for three sen nowadays, noting that "three sen didn't make sense even in 1962, what more in 2018."

"There is cost involved in getting the water piped to Singapore. Even Malaysians pay more," said the writer.

"We are not swimming in money to subsidise Singapore, a sovereign country. It is a different story if Singapore was a poverty-stricken nation that needs the help of its neighbour to see it through another day."

On In Utusan Online, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia's Associate Professor Azmi Hassan claimed in a commentary dated June 29 that Singapore utilises over 2,000 acres of land in Gunung Pulai and parts of Sungai Tebrau and Sungai Skudai in Johor as part of the water agreement and in turn the Republic paid the southern Malaysian state a rate of 3 sen per 1,000 gallons of water that was fixed five decades ago.

He added if Singapore still insists that this price is reasonable, then it is "not surprising" that Malaysia will "always link this issue to other outstanding issues in order to seek justice for all parties."

If mudland not happy. Than please put in an official request to renegotiate the treaty. Don't point kpkb and don't do anything about it

Well said, 1000 gallons = almost 3800 litres.
Treating their water for S$0.0000316 per litre or S$0.01 for 316 litres
Might as well let's cancel the water treaty and everyone lose-lose.

1962 agreement
Singapore had to pay rent for the land it used “at the standard rate applicable to building lots on town land”. The water prices remained the same as in the previous agreement – 3 sen per 1,000 gallons of raw water supplied to Singapore and 50 sen per 1,000 gallons of treated water sold to Johor. After Singapore and Malaysia stopped using a common currency in 1973, the prices became denominated in Malaysian ringgit.

Johor can treat the water themselves and sell it to us for $2.61 per 1000 liters.thats a profit of 90 times assuming it cost $.03 per 1000 liters to purify.in less than 10 years Malaysia minumum Air Berhad will be worth 20 to 30 billion dollars.....that's like selling liquid gold.or turning water into wine.if I was Warren buffet I would sell my coca cola stock and invest in that instead.

Yes I very junior and yes contracts can be negotiated. If madhatter wants to renegotiate the contract than he should put in a request to renegotiate the contract officially. But he has not done so, like the way with the HSR. Just make statements but no official request etc. He is purposely just muddying the waters and playing an angle. Than as Singkies we should be questioning madhatter and not defend his actions. If pap increase the payment to 100 ringgit and give the treated water to them for free. How does that defend Singkieland interest?

Mahatir did not make any "statements". He was responding to questions on the water issue posed by Haslinda Amin of Bloomberg on 22 June 2018 and three days later on 25 June 2018, when Sumisha Naidu of the 147th prostitute press, CNA Division, asked him a similar question about the water issue.

You need to get your facts right and not regurgitate whatever rubbish and nonsense you hear from the Sinkie government, its officials and its prostitute press.

So by me regurgitating...are my facts wrong or right? And am I wrong in giving the middle finger to madhatter and mudland?

This water agreement thingy reminds me of the opium wars,Singapore is the evil imperialistic overlords here forcing Malaysia to undergo 100 years of humiliation, threatening Malaysia with gunboat diplomacy if they refuse to open their ports......SG needs Malaysia's silver and tea and silk desperately .

Then again unfair treaties has always been the hallmark of the British, just look at Palestine and Israel in 1947.white devils think they are the master's of the universe and can do whatever they want regardless of other parties needs and desires.

Most Sinkies are unaware of the distinction between "after" and "immediately after". So when the forked-tongue KPKK Shanmugam claimed that Malaysia has lost its right to review the water price after "choosing not to do so" in 1987, they fell for his bullshit. The 1962 agreement between the Johore State Government and City Council of Singapore states that:

"The price can be revised after the expiry of the agreement in 25 year's time..."

Note, it's "after". Not "immediately after".

If the Keling and the Sinkie government's command of the English language is so poor that they do not understand what "after" means, or know the difference between "after" and "immediately after", the clause that follows makes it very clear that the Malaysians have the right to review the water price:

"The price can be revised after the expiry of the agreement in 25 year's time, and in line with the rise and fall in
the purchasing power of money, cost of labour, and power and materials for the purpose of supplying water."

Note that all this was before Singapore was kicked out and Singapore was still using the Malaya and British Borneo dollar as a common currency until it issued its own notes and coins in 1967. Hence, there was no definition of what "cents" meant as it was taken to refer to the MBB currency. Notwithstanding this, the dollar was interchangeable with the Malaysian ringgit until 1973. Hence, on grounds of purchasing power alone, Malaysia has the right to review the water price.

If this is still not sufficient for the KPKKs and Singkie Government, the final clause states this:

"In the event of any dispute or differences arising under the provisions of this
clause the same shall be referred to arbitration as provided by the agreement."

You won't find all these facts coming out of the Sinkie government and its prostitute press because the facts will confirm them to be the "mercenary pricks" that Tony Pua (DAP, Malaysia) referred to.

Here also, is a little unknown and unpublished fact in the 1962 agreement. The Johore State Government will have to pay 10 cents for every 1000 gallons of raw water to Singapore should it supply Johore with raw water. It was worse in the (expired) 1961 agreement in which Johore had to pay Singapore 25 cents for every 1000 gallons of raw water should Singapore supply such raw water to Johore.

So amongst other things, 3 cents vs 10 cents vs 25 cents for the same 1000 gallons of raw water. Fair and equitable? Or cut throat and mercenary and seeking to ruthlessly exploit the naivete and goodwill of the Malaysians, as well as fool and hoodwink gullible Sinkies?

You are not only wrong but reinforcing the sterotype of the Sinkie who can't think for himself, and has to have his hand held by the government lest he trips, falls and suffers the disaster of a scratched knee as he journeys through life.

Looking at our impressive General below with all his war medals is simply inspiring. It makes me want to draw a GPMG from the armoury and invade Malaysia and secure our water supplies all by myself.

Yes you are right, we citizens should be defending our common interests and not like these traitors that suck up to foreigners just because they don’t like the government. Anyway it’s ridiculous the way Malaysia want to renegotiate contract by backdating the revised price to 1987. Never heard before such way of contract renegotiation for commercial contract, so unreasonable and sounds more like extortion.

These generals can't even organise an orgy in a whore house. If war happens, better we all run away. Or rather take the gun and shoot the generals.

I like their last line "Malaysia will "always link this issue to other outstanding issues in order to seek justice for all parties."
In the same light, so long they renegotiate with us, we should also link the issue to other outstanding issues in order to seek justice.

So tell me what did I say wrong? Or to you, what should be said is what madhatter says? Which it is being sold for 3 Sen. And the 3 Sen is all that matters?
