PETALING JAYA: Deputy Health Minister Dr Noor Azmi Ghazali and Perak executive councillor Razman Zakaria were fined RM1,000 each at the Gerik Magistrate’s Court today for breaching the movement control order (MCO).

Noor Azmi and Razman came under fire after photographs emerged showing them attending a lunch event at a religious school in Perak.

They were criticised for violating the MCO, enforced to curb the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

Also fined the same amount were Perak executive councillor for education, human capital development, NGOs and civil society, Razman Zakaria, and 13 others.

Magistrate Norhidayati Mohammad Nasroh meted out the fine after they pleaded guilty to the charge, which was read out by the court interpreter.
All of them paid the fine.

The current government is illegitimate. So must do a lot of wayang to win over the rakyat.

If Chia Shi lu that cheebye is Malaysian MP. His corpse will be whipped.

Its all wayang. They fined him under the amounts for removal from parliament

i fail to understand this reasoning and had argued against this...what is the ground to say the current malaysian government is either illegal or back door ?

or we fail to understand the parlimentarian system ...in a parlimentarian system people only elect a representative to represent them...thats all ...its the MPs who then select a PM...though a political party may have put a candidate as a potential PM its not illegal to select another ...its neither illegal to for a MP to switch to opposing or another political party as far as Malaysia is concerned...almost every political party in Malaysia has done it ...DAP candidates had done it for money

the way i see it..its still the Bersatu party calling the shot...Dr M replaced by Moo...now backed by UMNO and PAS

you see, just as its untenable to have a non chinese as a Sinkies PM its also quite untenable to have a govetnment in Malaysia where 2/3 of its MP are not bumi ...its unrealistic....that had changed now

You are right. The jiuhu government is based on electing the mp, who then elect their own PM. The electoral seat belongs to the MP, not his or her political party. If the MP defects, the seat will now be controlled by the party the MP defected to. It's unlike in the Singapore system, where the elected ward belongs to the party, not to the individual MP. In the jiuhu system, the MP is like a feudal lord. Many of their MPs have been ruling over their ward for decades.

A weak gahmen is a good gahmen if based on Switzerland, Germany and Nordic countries.

you certainly have ways of putting words into my mouth .LOL

but ,its the party with the purse that pulls the string ...not to forget the 'whip' in the parliment where the speaker had ruled MPs as disqualified for not toeing a party's line

no MP can behave like a feudal lord in any parlimentarian system ....but if an MP have a number of other MPs within a party who will listen to him more than the party's president than he can act like a feudal lord ...this is exactly what happened between Anwar vs Azmin in Malausia ...whre Azmin throw his lot with Bersatu Mohideen to form the new government
