Malaysia Cup is a Mat thing...

Before these chaps, Kok Fann, AuYong, Poh Leong, Teng Sai, Robert Sim, Kwang Hock, Quah brothers, Chiew Peng, Bee Seng, Tang Boon, Peng Kee, Tien Jit etc.

Peng Kee would be upset if he saw your list because he is actually from the same batch as guys like Tong Hai, Steven and David.
All those in your list are his seniors. :p

tay peng kee cannot be same batch with steven tan and lim tong hai. i remember watching him play as skipper in the 80s when i only primary school on tv. those were horrible years when fandi, sundram, malek, paijan brothers all playing up north. by the time i secondary school (89), he no longer in the squad. no idea why as that time never read newspaper. so only DL can consider to be same batch.

If you watched the last year Spore Lion City Cup team on TV, there was this skillful Chinese boy playing in the wing for the Cubs... Can't remember his name but he really caught the eye with his dribbling skills.. A big hope for the future..

Ha..Ha..Ha.. He could do something to the pizza that I ordered if he's the one that delivered it to my home... For all I know, he could add some extra free '' ingredients '' for me to pay me back for the time I tekaned him during his BMT...:D

Does he know where you live? Not bad you actually managed to keep in contact with your trainee. For me i only keep in contact with my fellow trainees not with the instructors.

Saw him twice last year.. First one was near Chomp Chomp.. 2nd encounter was when he sent a pizza delivery on Christmas to my neighbour who was staying 3 units away from me... Btw anyone knows what Lee Man Hon is doing now...? He's got one hell of a sweet left foot back then when he was playing for the Lions..

Gidiania Wong say FAS talk cock like sing song...
Get our football priorities clear
Letter from Gidania Wong 04:46 AM Jan 02, 2012

I ECHO Mr Chan Teck Guan's sentiments, in his letter "S-League for MSL trade-off, FAS?" (Dec 30), and like him, I am disappointed with the recent state of football affairs here.

The Football Association of Singapore should explain clearly to the fans the genuine reasons for returning to the Malaysia Cup.

In 1995, FAS announced the withdrawal from the competition, so as to expand and self-sustain the growing local football community.

It was argued that the limited participation in the Malaysia Cup had restricted talent development on and off the field, and there was concern over the ability to maintain high competitive standards and cater to the increasing numbers participating in the game.

This led to the birth of the S-League in 1996.

Like Mr Chan, I am a proud Singaporean who believes in planting the seeds of success for our national football league. Hence, I am perplexed by the decision to return to the Malaysia Cup.

When it was announced in July, I, like many fans, thought it was to promote talent development, as FAS had said the team will "comprise of national players below the age of 23, five players above the age of 23 and complimented by the quota of foreign players allowed".

We were proven wrong last month as the FAS announced a 29-man squad, half of whom are 23 or older. It seems to fans that FAS is unclear about its priorities.

While FAS president Zainudin Nordin had stressed earlier that the S-League will not become a "poorer cousin" once the LionsXII start their Malaysia Cup campaign, the recent developments seem to suggest otherwise.

I urge Mr Zainudin to be bold and consider seriously whether the S-League is relevant now that the Malaysia Cup seems to be positioned as the key football competition for FAS.

Should he determine that our national league has failed and he is not confident of restoring it to the heyday of its early years, he should bite the bullet and end the S-League. Otherwise, it makes a mockery of the Beautiful Game.

Sponsors, on their part, should review their sponsorships of local football and not pump in money just to support the top sport in Singapore.

There are many charitable organisations that will find such monies more handy and that deserve the support more than a sports organisation that seems to have lost its direction.

i still remember after scoring that goal, he wasted a lot of chances trying to repeat it in later games. that made many people fuck him like hell for wasting the chance to score

OMG you mean that shit skin actually tried to do the same thing again? WTF a goal scored is a goal scored what diff is there if you're upside down when you kick it in. The bugger only managed that cos he was lucky in the right place at the right time. Typical of a keling to want to be a show off.

He could do that because it was Brunei.

And like most Sinkies, their sense of national pride has been grossly misplaced.

The S-League is a failure through and through. and only kept alive thus far by obstinate bureaucrats in the FAS and a ragtag band of sponsors.

Nothing has been achieved in these 16 years.

In fact, it is highly annoying when TV stations broadcast their crap matches during prime timeslots, and stadiums get booked (and closed) for S-League training or matches.

P.S: The horse-face broad Gidiana Wong is only a mouthpiece doing PR spin for S-League.
