vaguely remember makapa with his postings consisting of edited pictures which followed his C&P posts, thought his thread title never fails to capture my attention... of the pictures, me remember Yeo CT with the caption "Not happy ah? buy car lah!" or the one with a bunch of folks each holding a long stick of party popper with the caption "Let's shove it up the peasants' arse"

I complained Makapaa's posts before, title misleading and his post is so hard to read....vaguely remember makapa with his postings consisting of edited pictures which followed his C&P posts, thought his thread title never fails to capture my attention... of the pictures, me remember Yeo CT with the caption "Not happy ah? buy car lah!" or the one with a bunch of folks each holding a long stick of party popper with the caption "Let's shove it up the peasants' arse"

Not long ago, he is always posting misleading thread title. Nowadays not so bad liao. His postings are more readable too. He is always improving himself. I like him! Singapore needs more people like him.

the HTML codes do screw up his posts, especially when he copies wholesale from 3in1, must give due credits for his efforts in tidying up his posts lately. as of the thread titles, who doesn't wish to have more views? certainly a more controversial title would attract more attention, it drew mine. it's funny at times, but remember that a joke is only funny when there's an element of truth in it

You are free to express any opinion you want. However, please don't mess up the quotes when you exercise that right.
Alamaking was justified in infracting you. If he had not done it, I would have.
When you reply with a quote, take care not to remove or modify the quote tags which look like this

The most common reason for an old thread to suddenly reappear is because a spam bot decided that it was an appropriate thread to reply to based on the content.
These spam messages are removed pretty quickly but before that happens, there is a risk that someone else might blindly reply to a thread without bothering to check the post dates.
Actually Sam, it is because when we read a thread, some similar threads are suggested and when we click on them we don't realise it is 3 years old. Perhaps you should change some settings so that only similar threads which are less than 3 months old will appear.

Similar threads are displayed to assist those who would like to read threads on a similar or related subject.
"Did not realise" is no excuse. It's like telling the cops "I did not realise I was speeding". It's not going to get you off the hook.
Educated Singaporeans should be able to read dates. When the post says "16 Dec 2008 at 09.55AM right at the very top, it means it was posted A LONG TIME AGO.
It is not like telling a cop "I did not realise it was a red light". It is more like a sign suggesting you turn left, and while turning left itself is not illegal, it turns out to lead to a place which is illegal but which is not clearly marked, and THEN getting summoned to entering the place.

I agree it's minor issue to rehash an old thread and that's why it only merits an infraction of 2 points which expires after 10 days.
More serious transgressions would result in a deduction of rep points or a ban period.
