By painting a scenario of instability, it could win some votes for BN. There were talks that Johor Menteri Besar Abdul Ghani may be fielded against Lim Kit Siang... in which case i doubt Kit Siang will win. Most Johorean Chinese are like the 60.1% PAP voters... they will vote for someone whom they think can bring about economic development. As for the Johorean Malays, i don't believe there are many who have any emotional attachment to Kit Siang.
