SINGAPORE: A 51-year-old lorry driver has been charged with negligence, resulting in the death of an elderly pedestrian.
Tan Eng Huat was driving the vehicle along a non-signalised T-junction along Whampoa Drive when he allegedly knocked into 68-year-old Ho Ah Nui, who was crossing the road.
It's believed Tan had failed to keep a proper lookout and knocked into Madam Ho.
Tan's pre-trial conference will be held on December 27.
If convicted of negligence, he can be jailed up to two years, fined or both.
