The PLA now build YEARLY the amount of new warships equal to FRENCH NAVY TOTAL STRENGTH - each year, and still increasing speed now, next year they will be able to build 1.25X of French Navy Total numbers - and more advanced and expensive in quality also.

This week, PLA just retired 4 - not very old but considered as junk by PLA type 051 destroyers to Karunguni. Just using that 4 Karungi is enough to missile entire French navy to dysfunctional state.

British who are using much older warships cannot understand why PLA junked these which are still better than what Chow Ang Moh beggars are using like big naval assets. These were purchase from Soviet. Hence Chinese won't even export them will just strip scrap metal. Chinese want customers to buy MADE IN CHINA new warships, hence these Karungunis are not for sale.

Oh wrong! I got a mixed up these 4 were not Soviet made. But where Chinese old models. That other 4 were Soviet made are not type 051.

This type 051 class is unwanted by PLA because they are too small. Only 3600 tons.

They can build much more newer designed ships faster & cheaper than upgrading old ones.

They are not offering these type 051 for resale, and there are proposal to keep at least one at naval museum, and the rest as scrap metals. These deemed as service merits warships are honored and will not be used as missile / torpedoes training targets. PLA used their own retired ships are targets, but they exclude those ships which served to expel / warn off / ward off hostile warships from e.g. SCS. Once a warship is considered MERITED, it will be retired with honor like in the retirement ceremony in above video.
