Why then there was not such problem of loan sharks to become a national issue?

Yes most staying in landed or condo owner knows their limits of course not all , but majority of them know how to handle their money .

1) change and put up new laws some literally over night.
2) Clamp down on any activities they so deem undesirable in any way they wish.

So it back to the same old reasons. The ppl running the place is not interested to solve those problems that do not let them have monetary outcomes for them.

They're economic sluts.

They throw money where they should NOT throw and only solves issues that net them money.

Unfortunately I am not paid millions to be able to come up with solutions to their problems. Imagine if ppl who are paid millions from public funds to come out with solutions to issues cannot do so but instead asked those who are not paid " So what do you think?"

Are you sure ? If that is why ppl borrow money from ah long , then you will see many old woman selling tissue at hawker centre borrow from ah long too !! For your information , its addicted gamblers and those who want to live a high life but couldn't afford that borrow money from those ah long . Many Singaporean don't live within their means !! I know one chap staying in the west. When he calls most ah longs, all will refuse to give out a loan to him. His HDB flat kena paint at least 10 times already over 2 years or so. He was once my accused and we do meet at nitespots now and then.

Correct me if i am wrong,many years back,police traced a suspect thru monitoring his hp sim card and managed to apprehend the suspect in a hotel rm.Then why cant the police do it again to trace the number of the Ah long.The more action police take,the heavy penalties melt out by the court,the runners will think twice.
