I have seen an example when a couple came into the mrt pushing a stroller with a child inside. Amazingly, the moment they come into the train, the woman immediately picks up the child and carries her, leaving the stroller empty. Made me wonder whether they were happy to push the child in the stroller all day long and waited until they were in the train to carry her.I think the guiding principle shld be to give up yr seat to the person who needs it more than you.
I have seen many instances where a couple rolls in a stroller with a child in it. So does anybody have to offer a seat to them?
Another example is the couple rolls in a stroller which was filled with shopping bags, her handbag and of course all the baby stuff etc. But one of the parents is carrying a child. So what do you do or not do?
There was also one fussy Mum with stroller, kid inside, and Dad in tow. The young person at the "Reserved" seat did not give up his seat. It was the one next to him. Mum was not pleased at all. Throughout the journey, she was grumbling to her husband even tho both were finally seated but not at the corner. Because she felt she shld have that corner seat!
How do bros deal with these scenarios? It's when people just follow the rule and don't think of the spirit behind the rule, that such episodes happen!
For this example, should we give up our seat to the woman? I would suggest not.
As for your examples, child in stroller - No.
Child being carried but things in stroller - Some may not agree, but I would give up my seat.
Seated but not in the corner seat - I'll let them kpkb all journey long.
