So far I tested it to be reliable and good. It is actually a brunch of Ubuntu family. Stable & Strong in plug n play and hardware support. Beats ANY MS OS.

When Apple's Mac etc are all Intel CPUs there is little difference from architecture of PC in terms of hardware. So buying Mac or Asus hardware is not much diff. So the difference in only quality vs price vs service vs reliability.

Only OS & Software is the big difference.

You have to pay & be limited by Mac OS without choice. With Linux / BSD you have plenty choices and mostly FOC. If you are spoiled by Mac OS's user interface, then Linux can do the same for you, that is deal now.

Big lesson is to DUMP MS.

Linux is flexible. In metacity alone, you can use Cairo Dock with many themes, some look and feel better than Mac. They are not PRC copycats but international contributions, might had come from Ang Moh, any artists may contribute.

Apple actually conducts usability tests on its OS, nothing gets put in without Steve Jobs approval. When you program for the Mac you are expected to follow the Apple's guidelines, go read about it:

Dunno about MS, but they are famous for keeping secrets from PC developers so that MS can release superior products with this inside info.
