If the smart tunnel stretching some 10 km underground cannot impress you, and then “ no amount of engineering can prevent flood in sinkapore “ must be a joke right !
We are talking about a city space that is much bigger than sinkapore , what you would like to hear ?
Sinkaporeans always expecting the best and that’s what we are trying to do ?
Smart tunnel continue to solve the problem of flash floods in KL , full stop !
If we think of a concrete jungle, what do we think first to plan ---profits or drainage system ?
In sinkapore, you find acres and acres of golf courses around sinkapore ! In sinkapore, when you say low birth rate and dream a city of buzz, you proudly tell people FTs are the solutions, and you bring them here like nobody business right ! Wantonly right !
What are we talking ? A tiny island or a china -big sinkapore ?
When you build more and more buildings for FTs to come to the island, you are like creating a fish-tank like effect on the island---therefore what you do? Of course, you sacrifice land to build canals becos you know when there is a heavy rain, every drop counts when it hits on the concrete floor ! They need to flow , and flow fast out of the island right !
Just like roads, you cannot want to have a big population but have less cars on the roads, if not , you use tough measures to bring down the car population ! The people suffer only right !
You don’t want many roads but a big population entails more roads to curb jams---this is only natural ! Not act of GOD right or beyod humans right !

So far, no local drainage experts have say a word about the flood and dams of the rivers !
