LSS should stop talking about his candidacy if he's not in a position within the PAP to decide.

If he is not fielded in 2016, he would have gone from stepping down to contesting to being dropped and stepping down. All scenarios fulfilled. In this case, he won't even have credibility in the private sector when he leaves politics. Which board will want such a loose mouth?

His predecessor Lim Boon Heng got a posh job as Chairman of Temasek although he know nuts about finance or global business. Big fat pay for doing fuckall. Remember Wong Kan Seng? He is now chairman of Singbridge a multi billion business - made no difference if he is responsible for Mas S escape or the voters wanted him OUT.
Lim Swee Say will get no less if he steps down or lost GE......... this system is for the chosen ones & SAF big wigs So he might be hinting to Ho Jinx: here I come.

That will probably be his reward for having been a loyal servant and nothing much we can do unless another party takes over the reins of the government. Our part is to make sure it happens then perhaps we might see some major changes. It is important that from now we begin our journey to reach that goal.

So put this aside and we focus on making sure they do not get re-elected this coming GE.
