Transport Minister Lui Tuck Yew was sighted observing the operations at Bishan Circle Line station this morning by a Stomp reader.

The recently opened Circle Line, 10 years in the making, has witnessed some birthing pains, including overcrowding and train service breakdowns.

However, it seemed as if the situation has improved, the reader observed.

Here's a timeline of what had happened so far:

Oct 17:
At about 8.30am, a Circle Line train heading from Labrador Park to Pasir Panjang suffered a fault and was taken out of service.
SMRT activated two shuttle train services to maintain the link between Kent Ridge and Harbour Front. A bus bridging service was also activated. Few people were affected.

Train service resumed at about 11.10am.

Oct 11:
Unexpected demand creates human jams at the Circle Line as commuters complained about long waiting times for trains.
Commuters at some stations experienced a wait that was as long as seven minutes.

An SMRT spokesman told The Straits Times that passenger flow on Oct 11 was larger than expected at some stations.

Pictures taken by The Straits Times on Oct 12 showed commuters crammed together at the Bishan Circle Line station.

SMRT has adjusted waiting times during evening peak hours.

Sept 20:
Train services at the Circle Line were disrupted due to a power fault.

From 5.30am, there were no trains between Dhoby Ghaut and Marymount stations.

Service gradually resumed from 8am onwards. The line was fully running by 9.50am. 26,600 passengers were affected in the downtime.

When a Minister comes for inspection, everything is in order.... Then when a Minister is not present on site, Train Operations goes haywire as usual...F*ckin wayang as usual by SMRT.. Maybe Lui F*ck Yew and that Mudlaysian SMRT Butch should stand guard at Circle Line Station everyday...

Watch how the MRT directors panic when their fucking train traps PAP minister inside.:biggrin::biggrin:

Won't happen. Sinkies are good at wayanging during audits. How else do you think Sinkieland can win all those lumpar 1 awards? It's all a mixture of aggressive and somewhat disingenuous PR.

There is nothing wrong with folding his arms.

Our bodies, arms, legs, faces are an extension of how we feel.

We need more of such honest expressions which, body languages cannot/difficult to lie.

It's obvious this guy is posing for the photo.

If he is so concerned about commuters, why has he not once talked to them.. ask the ground for real feedback? Is he afraid to be bitten by someone's chihuahua again?
