Why must Teo Chee Hean present the paper in the 1st place????? Why can't the leader do it himself?????? It's not rocket science! It's an unpopular and explosive topic though. GDP per capita could misrepresent the actual situation where there is a super high GDP per capita at the top say 10% of the population which would pull the GDP per capita up as a whole, dispite the lower 50% were having very very low GDP per capita, is it not?

Income should cover everything. GDP has a specific meaning related to the country overall size of its economy.
