Which may explain why PAP is complacent at times. These well edicated and well trained people are groomed into the PAP from a young age

Most people would regard good politicians to have high level of wisdom, in which high IQ is not a pre-requisite. The PAP blind worshippers that you are referring to may have high IQ, but definitely low or average in wisdom. I have met many of such overseas scholars, and many of them do not exhibit high level of wisdom as they are promoted too fast and well protected within the system.

You look at the populatoin white paper, written by many top scholars, but lacking in soul and wisdom. LHL himself is definitely very smart, but below average in wisdom especially in his younger days.

My sentiments. That is why the "apologies" are insincere, just to appease the noise from cyberspace. That in all likelihood the cabinet had gone through the final document before release, that every one of significance had combed the document and yet no one picked up on the bit about the nurses is a sublimal announcement that they agreed with the statement. They take the nurses for fools and dafts.
