This statement is the ultimate insult to all Singaporeans! How can he say that when he has forced down our throats so many wrong policies, the most recent one being the Bilingualism Policy? We have to give up most of our childhood just for studying, and then we have to serve NS! Does he not know the difficulties Singaporeans have to go through???

We want Lee Kuan Yew, Minister Mentor of Singapore, who earns more than $2 million a year, to apologise to the 3 million Singaporeans(1.5 million are foreigners) for his insensitive and defamatory remarks now!

Many older people in Singapore can tell you that Old Fart wants to rid Chinese language than to preserve it.

Come to re-call my Chinese lessons during my primary and secondary school time all the teacher (same teacher for 4 years) did was to flip over the last page of the lesson taught last lesson / week and quickly went through it, and continue the lesson from there. Then she will make the first student stand up to read a line and the next student read the next line and this repeated until the whole class or last student got a chance to read. If you can't read she will punish you by asking you to stand up on the chair (to embarass you). Then when it comes back to your turn to read again and if you can't you will have to stand outside the classroom. This is old fart's excellent MOE education system (true and untold story) , what a shame! With no oppositions in parliment to checks and balances, and critizes the governement policies this is the price you have to pay - you suffer at the expense of their own agenda, read below.

If Chinese language is hard to learn then why is the language still speak and write in China today? Old Fart MOE education system is to generate more low educated factory workers (S7 or P can do, C not important) for his dream 'Jurong Industrial Estates' and invite all his white POMEs friends over to rent from him. Old Fart can tell his POMEs business people that his low IQ workforces will not be intimidating or threatening to them as his MOE education system produced very little or no academic talented people to be able to compete with the whites later.

The Bible says bad trees grow bad fruits and history will one day tell you old fart was not a great leader as he marketed himself to be. There are still many things under his carpet which are yet to be revealed. Old Fart is not intersted to preserve Chinese language and their cultures, he wants to breed a nation of English-speaking-Chinese only to service his English POMEs mates, but failed.

The truth may hurt but that doesn't alter the fact that the old man has hit the nail on the head with this one.

Singaporeans have gone soft after being pampered for far too long with jobs on a platter, subsidised luxury housing, free weapons training and what have you.

The way to prove LKY wrong is to rise to the occasion and prove that sinkies have what it takes to outperform the foreigners in every department.
