SINGAPORE — Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said on Friday (2 April) he has found out that his Twitter profile has been used without his authorisation on a blockchain platform for users to buy and speculate with its proprietary cryptocurrency.

Noting that the site’s creators are anonymous, Lee said in a Facebook post, “I have sent an open tweet out to ask that my name and photo be removed from the site immediately, as I have nothing to do with the platform. It is misleading and done without my permission.”

Lee, who did not name the platform involved, urged everyone to be careful when dealing with cryptocurrency platforms. He warned against any dealing with entities not regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore, as there is no legal protection in such a situation.

“Before making any investment, please ensure that it is genuine and legitimate, so that you will not fall prey to scam,” Lee said.

Never sue the guy to protect his reputation? :cautious:

If you deal with entities not regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore, remember: you won’t be protected by the laws administered by MAS.

So all our investments have to be approved by the MAS? :roflmao:

Wah, such negative comments from you guys. So I guess it's safe to assume you all won't be investing in LHL coin.
