Singapore's women survived another major scare at the World Table Tennis Championships, beating South Korea 3-2 on Saturday to reach the final.

A day after overcoming a 0-2 deficit against hosts Germany in the quarter-finals, the defending champions needed to come back twice against their old foes in a four-and-a-half our battle in Dortmund.

Singapore's Feng Tianwei continued her patchy form at the tournament, losing to defensive specialist Kim Kyung Ah 3-2 in the opening game.

Wang Yuegu levelled the tie for the Republic with a 3-2 win over Seok Ha Jung, but teammate Li Jiawei could not prevent Dang Ye Seo from winning 3-0.
