which means to say, based on July data, the vaccinated are more likely to be covided than the non-vaccinated.

Then shouldn't the logic be reversed?

As for Prof Thambyah I doubt he said that a booster jab would never be necessary...what needs to be established is how long the current vaccine regime lasts and remains effective...also taking into consideration the variants and potential newer variants...

Is a fully vaccinated covid case more infectious than a non vaccinated covid case?...

My understanding is that the answer lies in the viral load...and it seems those fully vaccinated probably have a lower viral load compared to those unvaccinated...

Your case is based on a complete total bias against covid vaccination...

No one is claiming that the current vaccines available is the complete panacea silver bullet to the covid virus...it is not and practically cannot be be for obvious reasons like this is still a relatively new novel virus, mutations occuring all the time etc...the situation is dynamic and fluid...we deal with it as best can be with what we have currrently while improving as time goes by...

So with this in mind...how do we get back to living as normal a life as possible under covid conditions which is not going to go away anytime soon?...or do you want to continue to live under the current global pandemic conditions that is causing terrible painful economic and social problems to all the communities, indefinitely?...

Bottom line...current objective medical science data shows that while the mrna vaccine efficacy against covid prevention varies amongst the different variant mutations, the efficacy rate at preventing serious illness is still very high and very good regardless of the variant mutations...

Which means we can quickly reopen and live a normal life(as best as possible) with covid if everyone gets vaccinated asap, without having to worry about the seriousness illness rates, death rates and strain on our healthcare system...
