Christopher Neo is promoting North Star under NSP activity. I think for any political party that is "steady" and with certain standing, it would not allow its own members to face such charges alone.

Chris DID NOT write in to APPEAL. Nope. He wrote in just to inform them that NSP has sent a letter to their CEO waiting for a reply to have a discussion and if that did not materialize by 13 Aug (the final date to pay up the summon), "WE ARE NOT PAYING THE SUMMON AND ARE PREPARED TO GO COURT" to defend our NSP's stand. Yes, they may treat it as "Christopher Neo" BUT we treat it as NSP's matter.

I hope this will clear things up.

Otherwise, NSP or GMS owes nobody any explanation. Since when must NSP explain to WP how party paper sales proceed or consequence thereof, or vice versa. GMS asked me nicely. I discussed with him nicely. The summon was withdrawn, not waived. Note, withdrawn is the word. I don't claim all credits, I tell what I know when he asks nicely.

In fact, that's just my rhetoric because you keep persisting in asking as if NSP owes WP something. I've seen Low Thia Khiang did that (turn down summon) face to face before. He surely knows how. It's the confidence of the newer members that he's worried about. You're not a new member. You're cadre and candidate. You can ask him.

RP has all long, considered a non-issue. I think WP has no worries over it too. They have started their Hammer Sales once they know the summon has been withdrawn. So most probably to them, it is no longer an issue.

So never mind, worst come to worst, we are all happy illegal hawkers.

I believe Dr chee also understands PAP is the enemy and not its instruments like the police force or NEA. I've never read an article on SDP's website hitting SPF. It's hitting PAP for using SPF.

Agree too. The only time CSJ lost his cool was the GCT where's the money incident. With police, he never, he just asked what the charge and what are the grounds for the charge. He was one of us, senior high ranking somemore. He knows better than most young junior officers nowadays. He never gave police any problem for enforcing the law. His agenda and point is that law enacted is unfair or tyrannical and should be repealed.

Why would there be a necessity to do that? I mean, why are you interested in that?

They withdrew the summon. Period. Isn't that simple enough?

I really wonder what is your motive. First, you take issue of Ramseth "blowing trumpets" here about this issue being resolved by NSP but yet, you are telling us NSP that we should publish something about it? Aren't you contradicting yourself or what?

As far as I can see, there is no point to "whack the dead horse", so to speak, except to inform other opposition parties/members that this issue has been resolved. If we can resolve it, all other opposition parties/members could resolve it as well if the need arises. If they need help there and then, NSP would be most willing to help them out. How the process is done or what transpire between NSP and NEA, that is really unimportant for the public.

My motive is not to "shame" the civil service/servants here. It is totally unnecessary to do so. The whole exercise is to get the basic understanding between the establishment and us, the opposition parties, that certain things, certain ground rules must set in and most importantly, don't disturb us in future.

Just put it simply, give the civil servants some face lah. No need to go all out; they are just doing their job in following instructions. Someone screw up up there, so be it. As far as possible, I don't want to break other people's rice bowls unless it is totally necessary for the sake of public interests.

Here is something that many people are not aware. Dr Chee served his NS in the Police both in active and in the reserves rising to the rank of ASP. He knows the working of the Police. Those who worked with him have a high regard for him and speak of him well. He can tell the difference but not the others.

I believe Dr chee also understands PAP is the enemy and not its instruments like the police force or NEA. I've never read an article on SDP's website hitting SPF. It's hitting PAP for using SPF.

actually, the oppositions should try to be a little more innovative with how they wish to propell their publications & improve public awareness. they should consider organizing party openhouse/ carnival/ fund-raisers, be it for humanitarian causes and/or campaign fund-raising.

that way, they have legit means to promote their wares & books as prizes or souvenirs. it seems a long shot, but surely the poodles & other authorities can only watch & suck thumb.
